We initially had to cancel due to an illness my wife had but she recovered quickly and the management team adjusted our time frame so we could fit in our vacation. Thanks to Nick for being so kind. Unfortunately, my wife fell the second day of our trip and broke her right arm. We spent a long day at the emergency room then found out she needed surgery. Needless to say, we spent most of our time at the condo on the lanai watching the ocean. We still enjoyed the property and made the best of a difficult situation.

The kitchen was well stocked and all the appliances worked fine. The bed was comfortable and there were plenty of towels. The view was as pictured and we enjoyed the salt water ocean pool. The BBQ grills were in good working order, although we never found any BBQ tools. The unit had ceiling fans in every room. The A/C kept the unit nice and cool.
The floors of the unit were very dirty and so our feet and socks were brown in no time. The starter pack for the unit includes one extra roll of 1-ply toilet paper. We asked about this and were told we would need to provide more ourselves. Seemed pretty cheap for a week stay. The lighting in the unit was dim, especially in the hallway.
Although the courtyard receives daily attention by the grounds crew, the property is in need of some maintenance. The water feature and fountain were not working and appeared to have been out of service for some time. The pathway lights only worked on about half of the interior courtyard. There were a number of rusty looking areas that were in need of painting.

Our stay was great. The space is basic, but it was all we needed. We wish the kitchen chairs were more comfortable. We really enjoyed the views and the pools. It was a nice and quiet complex.

I received a text message before check-in that there is no hot water issue. First night, no shower. Even the cold water volume is very low. This continued until the 2nd night 7pm. And the third day also stopped the water for 4 hours. This has caused so much discomfort for a vacation. I received text messages to reassure that someone will contact me and determine the compensation or refund, but that never happened. I hope the management knows that a vacation with no private shower is a big issue. No compensation, no replacement, I am not sure if this is worth the stay again.

Condo 235 had a very good location within the development-close to the patio amenities made barbecuing convenient and all equipment on the open patio functioned well. The unit was well appointed and the only suggestion for improvement is to replace the small settee in the living room (very soft and uncomfortable for sitting). and perhaps arrange Netflix streaming. Beach chairs and cooler were useful. We would rebook here another time.

As pictured and described. Great complex with a very nice ocean front pool. Great location for the money - if you want to stay up North by the resorts...you will have to pay to stay at the resorts. Unit is plenty spacious for a couple. Short drive to Kailua Kona and all the things in town there. Very close to Magic Sands beach if that's your thing.
Only things that could have been better:
- Getting secured parking inside the gate is tough if you return from dinner later than the old folks. In that case you must park outside the gate and walk in.
-Unit was very clean, save for some short black hairs in the shower and on the bathroom floor. Not the end of the world but makes you wonder what the $150 cleaning fee goes towards.
All and all would stay here again if visiting the Big Island.

We loved our stay here. This is a small, quiet complex, mostly adults. The private beach and saltwater pool set this apart from other properties. The balcony provides shade and excellent water views. We enjoyed it for coffee in the mornings and eating dinner in the evening. There were some maintenance issues during our stay, but the property managers were quick to respond and resolve the problem. The mattress is firm and comfortable. The unit is clean and in great condition. The beach chairs, coolers, etc. were a great bonus. We look forward to returning next year. This complex has a lovely community feel. Residents gathering at the beach nightly to watch the sunset, including blowing the conch shell as the sun hits the water.
