Absolutely stunning view of DiamondHead! The unit was ready and prepared for my sister and family coming to Hawaii for a once in a lifetime event. Easy directions from the airport, parking and distance to the beach and zoo. Overall visit was worth every penny.
I purchased this for my sister and her son/daughter in law and three children. For them, this was a “turn key” operation and they enjoyed the visit! For me, getting a complete list of check-in procedures was not easy. I LIVE ON ISLAND, I would have expected to get the procedures a couple of days prior to arrival, that way I could plan and execute, keeping my guests moving from the airport, and their long trip, to the VRBO.
Additionally, it was unclear on who to talk to upon entering the building; the person at the desk directed us to a security guard who was the actual person to check in with, not in my directions or it was unclear. More information, like parking was explained by the security guard. An aside, with all the bags brought for the week-long stay, we saw a baggage cart and asked to use it. The security guard said sure, but after you give him and ID and fill out a sheet explaining who you are; all of that while you are trying to check in, tired guests and people who just want to get to their room. So we just figured it out with multiple trips.
All this in contrast to our other VRBO, who provided us with the “gold standard” of check in procedures.

Nice unit, things that could be reviewed:1. Ranch slider was hard to open and needs looked at2. A clothes rack for drying clothes on would be useful. 3. Directions on how shower works for overseas people visiting would be useful.4. We had a pleasant stay. The unit is clean. Beautiful view of Diamond Head. Even with the AC off, you can feel the nice breeze at 14th floor. They have beach towels and beach chairs your can use if you want to hang out by Waikiki Beach. Very convenient location. It is close to everything.The condo is located at the 14th floor and there is a mart on the 5th floor if you forgot to buy groceries and want to cook simple breakfast. It's walking distance to an ABC store, food truck. It is very safe. If you are renting a car though, don't rent big SUV's because the ceiling of the parking structure is low. We had to switch our Ford expedition to a smaller SUV.other than that, I say, the place is great. Byron, the property manager is very pleasant as well. He could not be there in person but he arranged everything for an easy check in. We recommend this place to everyone.

The property was clean. The property manager was very accommodating. And easy to get a hold of. Centrally located. Just a few minutes walk from the beach. Parking was great, no complaints.

When we arrived at the condo, I was very surprised that it was very, small, rundown and not clean. The air conditioning didn’t work, luckily we didn’t really need it. I couldn’t open the second bedroom closet all of the way, paint was peeling on all doors. The balcony glass table had been broken and instead of replacing it, they tried to repair it with cement or something. The fridge looked like it came from someone’s garage. The vacuum didn’t work and I could not sweep up with the old broom. I am pointing this out because in addition to the rental fee and taxes, I had to pay a cleaning fee.
I may sound like I’m being petty but we payed a lot to rent this place and it did not match the pictures at all.
Despite all of this the location was great, the beds were comfortable and we had a great time. Unfortunately, I do not think we will rent from Captain Cooks again.

We stayed here for spring break. Great location just 2 blocks from Waikiki. Property was clean, easy parking. Parts of the property were dated but it was very clean and comfortable. The management company did a great job of staying in touch with us and answering any questions.

First of all, the location and view - Diamond Head, unblocked, in all it's glory, was wonderful. Only one short block to the beach, and convenient to shops and restaurants can't be beat. Being at one end of Waikiki also meant we weren't surrounded by crowd and traffic noise. Everything we needed was provided and all communications were prompt, easy, and clear. Parking was included and we appreciated that. If we were to try to find fault, it would be that one, then two of the four elevators were under maintenance during part of our visit, resulting in somewhat of a wait during the morning "rush hour," a minor inconvenience.

Clean Condo with all necessities. Amazing view of Diamond Head and situated close to Kapiolani Park. A short walk to both Queen's and Kaimana Beaches. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Highly recommend for a family of 4-5
