A nice distance from downtown kona, and the airport. About 15 minutes for both. This is nice because it stays quiet the whole day. Hosts are super friendly and easy to communicate with, if i don't stay here again, my family may.

This place is great. Quick friendly contact with the hosts, good directions and location. Both airport and town are close. For us the temperature was a plus- if you want more heat it was minutes away. The expansive view and surrounding property deserves accolades.
The cottage is clean and well stocked to prepare meals.
More importantly, the hosts friendliness and caring about our comfort was genuine.
We plan to return.

The Kaloko Cottage was comfortable, clean and beyond well supplied. Everything we needed was there. Jason and Billie were so kind and generous. The cottage has one of the best views on the island and we spent every evening sitting outside enjoying the beautiful sunsets. Every night provided a different show. The nights are cool, we slept so well. I loved listening to the sounds of the forest behind the cottage. The location is convenient to town, the airport and beaches. I cannot say enough about our stay, we can’t wait to go back.

The house is exactly as advertised. It is very well stocked, from the kitchen to bathrooms to beach equipment in the carport closest. The view is amazing and the setting is perfect. We will be staying here again in the future.

The property is very well kept. The home was lovely and comfortable. The owners have gone above and beyond with outfitting the home with anything a guest might need for daily living. We chose to stay at this elevation thinking it might be cooler at night and we were right. It was very comfortable sleeping, and the sounds of the crickets and Croqui Frogs are very relaxing. The owners Jason and Billie made the rental process smooth and simple.

Located on a beautiful property with a gorgeous mountain view, this cottage is a short drive from Kona and convenient location for driving most places on the big island. Especially for kamaʻāina and frequent visitors, this is a great place to stay during a big island trip, as it's away from the tourist hustle and bustle. Also, at this elevation, you will have comfortable daytime temperatures and cool evenings - just leave the windows open and enjoy.
This place has everything you could need during your stay - and I mean everything! The kitchen, bathrooms, and closets are all stocked with dishes and cookware, toiletries, and extra linens. The hosts were very friendly and we had great communication with them. Their house is located a short distance downhill from the cottage, but we still felt we had plenty of privacy.
Now, if you aren't used to being away from the city, be aware that you will hear some wildlife. The coqui frogs are quite boisterous at night, but make for a pleasant background serenade. You will see a few geckos, including indoors, but that's pretty normal in Hawaii and they won't bother you, and they eat the bugs for you. We enjoyed listening to the birds and had a laugh at the occasional cow mooing somewhere in the neighborhood. Keep your eyes open once you leave the main road, as there may be wildlife or children on or near the road and private drive.

We loved our 17 day stay at this VRBO from start to finish! Our late evening arrival went smoothly and our departure was made so comfortable because Billie and Jason kindly granted us a later departure time!
The rental is spacious, well furnished, imaculate and has comfortable beds. The kitchen is completely ready for you to cook or bake with cupboards and a fridge filled with supplies. The grounds are beautiful and look down to the ocean and the sunset.
You will have complete privacy here with the advantage of having Jason and Billie near by for advice or any questions you may have! They were more like neighbors to us!

We had a wonderful and peaceful experience at this property. It had a comfortable modern design , and was very clean and very well appointed. The hosts were immediately responsive to communication and very welcoming. We hope to return for another pleasant Hawaiian holiday!
