Enjoyed the inside of the house, nice bedrooms and kitchen was well equipped. Private parking spot was nice. The view from the deck was excellent!
The listing is a little deceptive, as the photos and description imply direct beach access from the house. Small potatoes.
The real issue was the construction that was ongoing at the house to the left when facing the beach.
The morning of the 5th my son, brother and I were shell hunting and not present when my wife arose. She wanted to go outside, but there were three strange men in the deck who were part of the construction crew. That is not acceptable as there was no forewarning regarding the construction.
Further, there were members of the crew present, as well as our property owner (Chris), during parts of the workday on the 5th, 6th & 7th on the deck of our rental. They were all friendly, but this did keep my wife from using the deck during the day, though. That is not acceptable,
Additionally, there were at least two occasions where our parking spot was taken by a work crew vehicle. These were quickly remedied, but should not have happened.
Finally, on the evening of the 10th, my family and I were eating dinner on the deck, while enjoying the sunset. Around sundown, a workercame and was adjusting some sort of sensor for about 15-20 minutes while we were eating. That is not acceptable.
Absent the construction, nice stay, but was perturbed by the construction as noted above.

What a wonderful place to stay! There were 5 of us, all women. There are technically 5 beds, one of which is the pull out sofa. It slept like a pull out sofa. Lori and Brad were very helpful and kind. We had an issue with a tripped GFC in one of the bathrooms late at night. I texted Brad to let him know. They came in the next morning and took care of the problem. Lori even brought us homemade cookies for our trouble. Yes, it could use some TLC but nothing major - just minor fixes (improvements). The hot tub was fantastic!!! The only "MINOR" downfall is that you can't access the beach right off of the lani. It's too steep (drop off) to the ocean. But, it wasn't far to walk to get to it - just out the gate and to the right and we were there. It was an amazing view from the home. We saw rainbows everyday and wonderful sunsets and sun rises. We definitely recommend this home for your vacation!!!

Our stay was a perfect after Christmas getaway with our family. We arrived while the owner was also staying on the property and she was very kind and had great suggestions for other beaches and things to do. We had no issues, and found the house to be perfectly stocked with towels, linens, and all our kitchen needs.
The spa was cleaned every other day during our stay, and was enjoyed each evening.
The patio was a wonderful spot to watch the passing whales, enjoy the sunset, and eat our meals.
We had a great week and would love to return again soon!

This was exactly what we were looking for: great property on the north shore that had enough room for three teens. The views off the back deck were amazing and beach access was a short walk away. We love the north shore, and this is a great basecamp from which to explore it.

This was a great house in a wonderful area of the north shore with fantastic views. The house had most everything we needed and plenty of room for all of us. My biggest complaint, however, is the property was not as advertised. The pictures on the listing show direct access to the beach. However, due to significant erosion, you cannot access the beach directly from this property. There is more than a fifteen foot drop to the beach that begins directly on the other side of the deck where the sand is covered with black tarps and boards to hold it down from the deck to the shore line. To access the beach, you have to walk 100 yards or more in either direction to find a public entrance to the beach. It is our understanding from talking with the locals in the area, the erosion has been ongoing for years. The pictures featured in the listing must have been taken years ago.
While not nearly as major in comparison, the pictures showed an outdoor shower, which did not exist.
This property is a great property and offers wonderful views. It just did not offer what we were looking for nor what we were led to believe when we booked it. I would have liked to have known there was not direct beach access when we booked the property to make the decision whether the other positives offered were worth not having the direct beach access as pictured in the listing. It was extremely disappointing to walk in and see right off the bat that we could not access the beach from the property directly. There were other properties available in the same price range that we could have elected to book had we known.
If you want to sit on the deck and listen to the waves crash, in a quiet north shore neighborhood that is close to some of the most beautiful stretches of beach, it is a great property. If you are looking for easy beach access, you will not find it here despite the appearance otherwise.
