You can walk off the property at the other end of complex and find a BLACK SAND BEACH that is directly adjacent to Keauhou Kona Surf & Racquet Club! We are a close walk to Kahalu'u Beach for snorkeling or surfing, and a short drive to Magic Sands Beach for playing in the waves and the sand. KTA market is right up the road from us, close enough to walk if you choose. Keauhou Shopping Center immediately close by has a theater, Longs Drugs, several restaurants, and other shops.

Beautiful place with lots of space. From the lanai, you can see the ocean while eating. Good location for activities on the Big Island. The kitchen was fully furnished with a 'fridge that makes lots of ice. Having a washer and dryer was a big plus too. The only drawback is that the unit has no air conditioning...we had to leave the windows open 24/7 to keep the place cool. At night, this was not much of an issue but during the late afternoon/early evening, it was warm and stuffy...especially in the loft. Not a game-ender, merely something to consider.The complex was also very nice, with a pool and tennis/pickleball courts (like with most tennis courts today, they were used 90% of the time with folks playing pickleball). There were also a couple of nearby pavilions for BBQ or just hanging out eating in the evenings.

We were delayed four days on island and rented the place for four additional days. The unit itself was perfect for our family of 5. Read about some below average reviews where folks complained about the lack of AC, not an issue for us, just opened the large sliding doors to the deck to let the island breeze in!
The property manager was not set up for a last minute rental. They had an excessive amount of paper work associated with a secondary rental agreement outside of the process that we go through with VRBO. Although they had no problem hitting my credit card for the payment quickly. Their process was also hindered by emails that were not sent to us in a timely manner.
Other than that, the experience was great! The unit was clean, really nice, and we enjoy staying at the KKSRC. Short walk to the Kahalu’u park, and others. Pool and beach access nearby, awesome!

Beautiful view! all the kitchen appliances and cookware were in great condition. The beds were so comfortable. The natural light was beautiful. Waking up and looking out the window to see the ocean was marvelous. The place was spotless. No AC was surprising, but realized not necessary. Amazing place, really really really made our trip special.

Everything about the property was wonderful other than the fact that there was no air conditioning. On line I didn't notice any mention about the possibility of no AC, and not until I put down a payment did I get the contract saying there may or may not be air conditioning. I would not have rented the unit if I would have known there was no AC. It was unbearably hot in the afternoon and evening, even with the fans.

The condo at the Keauhou Kona Surf and Racquet Club was awesome. The place fit our group on 6 perfectly and the location was great. It is close to shopping, beaches, snorkeling, and lots of great activities. The condo was well maintained and comfortable. The kitchen was great and allowed us to save a little money by eating in several meals. We enjoyed watching the sunsets from the beach connected to the property. Overall it was a great experience and the price was very reasonable.

The property and condo was perfect, we had 6 adults in our group and the size was perfect. My husband and I and our adult children and their significant others. My husband’s only downside was no A/C but with the windows open we were all able to sleep at night. They had a closet full of water toys and beach chairs making going to beach easy which was just a short walk from our condo. Possibly the only thing I may have expected was a bit more toilet paper, paper towel etc. you much purchase it for yourself along with all cooking items but we expected too but food. Overall a wonderful place and we would definitely come back again!

Fun family vacation. Unit was comfortable and spacious. It got quite hot in the top floor loft and plug-in fans in the loft were not terribly effective. Highly recommend everything else, though! The ceiling fans in the main floor bedrooms were great!
