One block from the ocean but facing the mountains to the North so the terrace was always shaded and cool. 35th floor unit in an older building that is quiet and well maintained.
Also, this part of Waikiki is quiet... but you can walk to the action.

For us, the location was excellent. It’s away from the non stop activity of Waikiki beach, but close enough that you can go there if you want. It’s a 10 minute walk to Target for groceries. We also walked to Ala Moana beach park each night to watch the sunset. Access to the bus is very good from this location.
The pool area of the building is small but nice. Almost nobody used it, so we enjoyed having it to ourselves.
The unit did look like the pictures. It’s on the 35th floor, so the view is good. Not noisy at all. Perfect for a couple. In my opinion it’s too small to have 4 adults. Who wants to sleep on a pull out couch? The tv had free channels and the ability to watch Netflix and other streaming apps.
There are a view negatives. The unit was storing broken picture frames and household items in the closets. They did remove some when we complained. The patio was a nice large size, but furniture and flooring needs a deep cleaning or updating.
The kitchen was mostly well equipped, but most of the items are of poor quality. The kitchen does have Keurig which is nice for morning coffee.
Still, we would rent here again for the price and location.
