The three downstairs bedrooms each have a small private lanai off the side of the bedroom. There are two master bedrooms with en suites - one upstairs and one downstairs. All bedrooms are air conditioned. The large country-style kitchen has plenty of room for food preparation for a large group. There is a large dining area, plus a smaller dining table in the living room, as well as an outdoor dining table. There is plenty of parking next to the cottage for multiple vehicles.
This is a gracious home with interesting art and architechtural features throughout the home. A special home with lots of room to enjoy your vacation.
Note on beaches: the Waimea River enters the ocean about a mile east of the property bringing silt from the canyon into the ocean. The currents pull the silt along the ocean in front of the beach. There are two swimmable beaches with lifeguard stations nearby. Kekaha Beach, is a 5-minute drive to the West. It is the longest white sand beach in Hawaii. It is wide and flat. To the east near Hanapepe Town is Salt Pond Beach. There is a lovely protected swimming area, picnic tables and restrooms....

Check-in was easy, town that it is close to is so cute and I highly recommend checking everything out there! It’s in walking distance so my brother actually ended up walking it a few times he’s 17 so while we went and sightsee he went and got food. The place is beautiful. The house that we stayed at was huge and cute it was like a twist of older style house with modern amenities. All of the beds were comfortable. There was no complaining from any family and I had people of ages 21 through 68 that were staying there. Every bedroom has a bathroom with a shower. There was multiple sitting rooms so that grandparents could visit my parents and then all of us. Children can chill and play board games in the other room and still feel like we were close enough. I highly recommend this place, and I would come back in a heartbeat.

9 of us stayed in this bungalow comfortably. Location was about 45min away from the airport, where the sun shined all day long. Much different than the east side of the island, which was cloudy until late afternoon in August. Bungalow was very close to the entrance of the canyon. Bungalows are a perfect spot to escape from it all. The pool was a hit for the kids. Beach is not for swimming. But quick drive down the street for sandy beaches. Restaurant and brewery on site was yummy. The checkin process was very easy. Front desk was very friendly and they gave us 9 beach chairs, 2 umbrellas, and an ice chest to use through out our stay to use at the local beaches. Only issue was it was hot upstairs in the bungalow, despite the room a/c. The living room/dining room/kitchen had no a/c, so those areas were on the warm side but the bedroom a/c's helped to cool them off. A window a/c in the living room might solve the heat issue or maybe come in February next time. Overall, excellent stay and highly recommend if you want to get it away from it all. Also saw a wedding taking place out in the manicured lawn, so also a great spot for weddings. Thank you for having us.

Five bedrooms and 4 living areas was a perfect fit for a family of 10! Beautiful grounds. The pool and on-site restaurant were a huge plus for us. A/C in bedrooms was perfect. And they helped to cool the common areas as well. Very comfortable. Would stay here again anytime and highly recommend to everyone.
