This lovely 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom condo offers some of the best views from Papakea Resort that is suitable to accommodate up to 4 guests. This west-facing condo will provide unobstructed oceanfront seats to Maui's incredible sunsets and views of the majestic islands of Molokai and Lanai. Unwind on your private lanai where you'll be able to spot sea turtles and whales breaching during the winter months.
Papakea Resort A305 is on the 3rd-floor featuring a tropical interior and more! Inside you'll find a relaxed Hawaiian-inspired atmosphere with cool tile flooring, tropical-themed furnishings and décor, and plenty of natural light. Stay cool with spilt A/C units located in the living room and the bedroom. The sofa not only has an ocean view but converts into a queen-size sofa bed to accommodate additional guests. In the bedroom, you'll enjoy a king-size, bed and a relaxing place to rest after a day in the sun. Just around the corner is the bathroom which includes a large vanity space and a walk-in shower. Enjoy your meals and unwind on the private lanai with a dining table for 4. The fully equipped kitchen includes full-sized appliances and granite countertop seating for 2 with a dining table for 4.
*** Papakea is currently undergoing a property-wide plumbing renovation. This condo is not under repair, however, please note the information below:
- Standard work hours for this project will be from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday unless authorized for weekend work.
- Contractors will be present on the property to begin quieter preparatory tasks as early as 7:00 AM.
- To minimize possible disruption, louder tasks will not start before 10:00 AM.
- Dates are subject to change. Not all units will be affected at the same time.

Papakea Resort offers lush tropical landscaping, koi lagoon ponds, oceanfront saltwater pools, hot tubs, shuffleboards, golf greens, pickleball, and tennis courts! It is located just North of the famous Ka'anapali Beach. Walk to nearby local shops, cafes, restaurants, and grocery stores. It is a quick drive to Whalers Village and many of Maui's top beaches like Kaanapali, Napili Bay, and Kapalua Bay.

This stay was the perfect location for us. We played tennis every morning, enjoyed spectacular whale shows from our lanai, loved the constant beauty & roar of the ocean with beautiful well kept grounds. Papakea is within walking distance of great food carts, BadAss coffee, the Farmer’s Market (a local grocery store that needs tourists support!) & other small restaurants.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay in this oceanfront room, though I wouldn't book it again. Here is why:
1. The air conditioner is weak and attached to a timer (similar to a hot tub timer). Every few hours the timer needs to be reset to keep the area cool. And it never cooled down enough so nights got extra hot.
2. Cleanliness lacking. I'm at the beach in Hawaii so I don't mind a little sand here and there, but this was A LOT of sand throughout when we checked in. I also noticed little bugs/sand fleas on the kitchen counter, cabinets and along the dishwasher. I bought disinfectant wipes and had to clean up prior to settling in.
3. Our stay was for 2 weeks. They only provided 2 rolls of toilet paper. This just comes off as cheap.
4. Beach equipment is mostly broken. It was clear that there was no quality control when 2 beach chairs and the umbrella were broken. The cooler and beach chairs were great to have but don't rely on being able to use the chairs or umbrella.
The PROs:
The property is gorgeous with plenty of parking. The neighborhood has everything you would need like restaurants, beach rentals, and grocery stores (great for buying more toilet paper).
This unit was also stocked with kitchen and grilling essentials. I recommend washing the dishes prior to using them though.
Overall, we didn't spend much time in the unit as we were always out exploring. The location made for a great home base and had the basic necessities.

We love the unit mostly for the view, comfortable bed and well-equipped kitchen. A couple of suggestions: Ask owner to purchase a high top table with chairs. This way guests can see the water without having to look through the railings when seated. Also, the lanai screen door needs to be replaced. It's off the track permanently. Thanks for hosting us. Really wonderful spot- great clean new unit with beautiful ocean views- could sleep and hear the waves. Had some issues with property company losing reservation but they did a great job getting us into another nice unit.

This place is a basic condo, a bit dated, especially appliances. Basically stocked. The thing that really bothered me was this unit has the a/c on a timer you spin to turn on. (think hotel hot tub) You could only set for 6 hours max so you would wake up sweating and have to turn the timer back on. You could also not adjust the temperature. Seems like such a juvenile way to treat guests, I would not return nor recommend.
That being said, the property management company was excellent.

This condo is nicely updated, well equipped, and conveniently located. We went to Maui for whale season, and saw plenty of whale activity every day from our lanai. The Papakea property offers plenty of amenities and the acreage is beautiful.
