This fourth floor, remodeled oceanfront condo at the Kihei Surfside Resort is located on the sought after ocean side of the elevator. It has a great ocean view from the kitchen, living room, dining area and lanai. It is a one bedroom, one and one half bath unit (680 sq ft). It has been remodeled and refurnished, and is lovely in every way!
The unit has porcelain flooring in the hallway, kitchen and bathrooms. The bedroom and living room are carpeted. All the maple cabinetry is consistent throughout the unit, and all countertops and vanities are topped with beautiful granite. The kitchen is fantastic! It is fully equipped with white appliances, including a fridge/freezer, flat top stove , quiet dishwasher, multi function microwave oven, garbage disposer and a variety of small appliances including coffee maker, coffee grinder, toaster, blender, crock pot, rice maker and hand mixer. There is also a large selection of higher end cookware, baking pans, BBQ tools and ample matching dishes, glasses and cutlery.
The living room has a high quality queen size sofa-bed and a large 56" flat screen LCD HD color TV, DVD player, and a multi speed ceiling fan.
The dining area has a round table with 4 matching leather chairs.
The private lanai has a bistro table with two reclining bistro chairs – a perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee or a romantic oceanfront dinner! Turtles and dolphins can be seen year round, whales in season.
The entry hall is tiled, with a tropical rattan dresser. There is free high speed internet and free long distance calling to the United States and Canada.
The bedroom has a California King size bed, multi speed ceiling fan, beautiful Koa Hawaiian style wood furniture, plantation shutters, clothes closet, digital security safe.
The bathroom has a full size, walk in shower with an adjustable spray shower head. There is a beautiful vanity with granite counter top.
This condo is fully equipped with fresh linens and towels, hair dryer, iron/ironing board. All units have beach towels and a cooler. Umbrellas and snorkel gear are NOT supplied, but are often left behind in the units by other guests – no guarantees. The Kihei Surfside office loans out beach chairs free of charge during regular business hours - Monday to Saturday. Office is closed Sundays and Holidays. Coin laundry facilities are available on site.
The unit has free, wireless high speed internet and free long distance calling to the United States and Canada. It is also equipped with a state of the art Oracode door lock, whereby each guest is issued a unique code which controls the door only during their stay. No keys!
This unit is an excellent choice for guests who are looking for high end accommodation with a spectacular location and unobstructed view of the Pacific Ocean and the West Maui mountains.
Rates for one bedroom units are for up to 2 people. 3rd and 4th persons in the unit are $25/nt for adults and $15/nt for persons under 18. Maximum 4 people.

Excellent location within Kihei with great access to the park and beach. The condo was clean and we had no issues throughout. Highly recommend.

The complex and unit are incredible. Very convenient location, great beach access, the grounds are impeccable and the management onsite clearly takes pride in their amenities and property. Would definitely stay there again.

This VRBO was better than we could have expected. The views from the living room/kitchen were breathtaking. The beach was only steps away. And there were walking trails right off the property. Everything was so clean. I was a little worried about the no ac but the temp was perfect with the breeze from the trade winds. Everyone staying here was also so kind and friendly! When I come back to Maui i will absolutely be staying here.

This VRBO was better than we could have expected. The views from the living room/kitchen were breathtaking. The beach was only steps away. And there were walking trails right off the property. Everything was so clean. I was a little worried about the no ac but the temp was perfect with the breeze from the trade winds. Everyone staying here was also so kind and friendly! When I come back to Maui i will absolutely be staying here.

We loved the unit, the staff is super friendly. The only thing about unit is there is no Air conditioner. If ur ok without it then u will be fine. We only used the unit to sleep, and the bed was comfortable and opened the windows. The unit will have everything you need for trip. Very clean and no bugs or insects.

Overall we had a great stay. The amazing view does not disappoint and the rest of the building, unit and grounds are all beautiful. The kitchen is great with almost everything you could need including a wicked blender and ice making fridge! The check-in process was flawless with pretty good information provided.
There were a few small problems like the comfort of the bed/pillows, the lighting isn't all LED so it throws a lot of heat, and there was no available beach equipment in unit (snorkel, boogie board, chairs). There was no dishwasher detergent when we arrived and I tried contacting the housecleaning rep twice with no luck. Also, the information provided by the property manager implies that they will update you with the codes to the pool and this was not done. All you have to do is go and ask the front desk and ask though.
A few more serious problems were related to maintenance:
We came back to the unit one day and it was full of people fixing the patio door, we had no notice of this. Then a day or two later we had a knock on the door for someone to update the units internet. There were signs in the elevator that this was happening but it would have been nice to have a scheduled time rather than a random knock on the door.

We loved our stay at Surfside condos! #405 was clean, comfortable and had an AMAZING ocean view! The staff downstairs is helpful and had great suggestions of places to visit. We enjoyed sitting in the grassy area overlooking the water and saw so many sea turtles swimming along the rocky shore. Highly recommend!!
