TVRNC Permit #1020
The Hibiscus is a beautiful 3BR 2BA Hawaiian-style home just one block from the stunning two-mile crescent beach at world-renowned Hanalei Bay.
The furnishings, amenities, and setting make it a wonderful vacation home from which to enjoy the wonders of Kauai's North Shore. It is beautifully furnished and fully outfitted and equipped with everything you will need for your perfect vacation in paradise. The open floor plan with gourmet kitchen, lovely dining room and spacious living room offers comfort and space for everyone to relax and gather for visiting and meals. This home is fully air-conditioned.
A two-minute walk from the house is magnificent Hanalei Bay and its famous, white-sand beach. A short stroll will bring you to quaint, historic, downtown Hanalei, with its wonderful array of restaurants, shops, and galleries. Within a ten-minute drive you will find numerous beautiful beaches and a huge variety of activities to keep you busy.
The house is at the end of a cul-de-sac, set back off the road, and down a long driveway on a wonderfully-landscaped quarter acre adjacent to a conservation area. The setting is lush, green, private, quiet, very secluded, and yet only a block to the beach and a five-minute walk into town. An ideal location.
Guests will enjoy the myriad birds in the trees, the wonderful sunrises and sunsets, the lush foliage and flowers everywhere, and the lovely tropical views from the extensive wrap around lanais.
See our You Tube video, Maluhia Hanalei, for great views of the house and its surroundings.
Hibiscus Suite is part of a larger home (see VRBO #10087) and consists of this 3BR main house, plus the Plumeria Suite, a lovely 2BR garden apartment (see VRBO #507143). The two suites can be rented separately, or together to form one larger rental for up to 10 people. The two suites are not connected inside the house and have entrances on different sides of the structure, so privacy is insured.
There is an on-site property manager/caretaker who is available for any issues that may arise.
This home is in a tsunami evacuation area. Directions and instructions will be provided.
***Please note that cancellation policy includes full refund if house can be rented to another group....

Great except for “groaning “ noise maybe electrical that came on every night. It ended up keeping me and others awake.

This was an amazing house- great layout, location, amenities. It is tucked away so you’re in your own private tropical forest but close enough we could walk to Hanalei Bay or downtown Hanalei. We spent a lot of time on lanai grilling and especially loved the outdoor shower. We would definitely come back!

Marney’s home was beyond wonderful, even more lovely than the photos. The wrap around porch gave everyone space for “alone time” and the kitchen, living room, and dining area were plenty big for all of us (6). The bedrooms were great, especially appreciated the twin beds for our 14 and 10 year old grands. Although in a neighborhood, the house is secluded and you feel you’re in a tropical wonderland. It’s just a long block from the amazing Hanalei Bay beach which was the most postcard perfect we found on the island (and we went to many). Hanalei is so laid back and not as touristy as Poipu. We could walk to restaurants and coffee easily, and enjoyed early morning swims and evening sunset walks at the nearby beach. We also stayed a few days on Poipu, which is nice but we all agreed we’d come back to Marney’s house in Hanalei next time.

Perfect location if you are lucky enough to find a place in Hanalei! We were sad to leave and hope to return one day.

Excellent location! Very quiet neighborhood off of a dead end street. Two short blocks to the most beautiful beach in Hawaii!!!
The house has sufficient fans to keep it cool. I understand AC will be installed later this year. Very well appointed kitchen and comfortable beds. Enough seating and table space on the nearly wrap around lanai. Lots of beach towels, chairs, boogie boards and wagons to haul it all to the beach! Perfect!

We loved our time at the house; just far enough away from the beach and town to be quiet, but an easy walk to either. House is small but well organized and stocked to the brim with things you’d need for the beach.
