It is in one of the most desirable areas in all of Princeville. You are minutes away from shopping, golf, and gorgeous world-famous North Shore beaches. A secluded semi private snorkel beach is only a ten-minute walk from our home and is a great spot for whale watching too! .....
The second story is an open living, dining, kitchen, and nook space that includes a guest bath and two ocean breeze lanais. From there, enjoy the sun setting into the Pacific Ocean alongside our vista of famed Bali Hai Mountain at the northern edge of the Na Pali Coast. And just after every rain, enjoy the sight of waterfalls cascading down the Hanalei Mountain Range, no doubt framed by one, two, or even three rainbows! At the same time, you might be dining or enjoying a Mai Tai while swaying in the hammock, listening to the beautiful songs of our native Hawaiian birds and the heavenly sound of the ocean waves. In the evenings, a cloudless sky will offer stargazing more crystal clear than just about anywhere stateside......
The fully stocked cook's kitchen, a foodie’s delight, has a complete pantry with spices, olive oil, and every utensil you might need to make a delicious feast. Try grilling pineapple with local catch on the dining lanai’s outdoor barbecue. Organic vegetables and fruits, along with local artisan breads, cheeses, and prepared foods can be had at the many farmer’s markets nearby......
There are ceiling fans in all the rooms and trade wind island breezes flow throughout. SWANKY TIKI boasts vaulted wood and white beam high ceilings and Brazilian cherry hardwood floors, with charming Hawaiian style furnishings and Native objects and artwork collected over some 20 years. Personal touches include high end linens and home accessories, custom goat milk soaps, live indoor plants and flowers, baskets of shells and much more. Upstairs, the many windows and glass doors with the light filled, spacious, and airy floor plan make for a festive and comfortable gathering space for Ohana and friends or a romantic getaway for two. Downstairs, there are three extra-roomy private master size bedrooms, all with ensuite full baths. Relax in a multi-purpose open area off the front entrance that can be used as a lounge area, office, or a mediation space......
Our neighbors tell us that SWANKY TIKI has some of the prettiest landscaping in the area. You can pick a flower arrangement from the lush tropical gardens that surround the house. There are unique lipstick palms, a large shady lychee tree, lily koi ponds, along with flowering gardenias and orchids blooming in the Ti leaf trees.....
There is High speed internet while TV apps are available on the Roku large screen TV. With a confirmed booking, a multi-page PDF will be sent which includes directions to our favorite beaches and insider information from locals about the best markets, shopping, and restaurants......

Great location close to the Hanelei Bay and numerous beaches, albatross were special as they walked all around the neighborhood. You can see sunrise and sunset from the two decks. Perfect stay.

This was a wonderful place to stay - beautiful gardens and views, enough room for everyone in bedrooms and common areas, very well stocked kitchen, and a lovely deck for dinner. The beds were comfortable and we loved the hammock! The house was convenient to the grocery store, restaurants, and we were close to all necessities. Beaches were a short drive and we were very happy to use the beach towels, chairs, and snorkeling gear! The owner is extremely easy to reach and responds immediately. Our stay was perfect.

We had a lovely stay at the Swanky Tiki. Very well appointed and quiet location. Fantastic communication with the owner, no problems getting in or during our stay. If you’re like me and a bit hesitant about the lack of air conditioning, it turned out to be just fine and cool in the evenings with all the windows. Everything was thought of and more. The most beautiful home we have stayed in on Kauai to date. We spent a lot of time on the huge lanai. Bathrooms are amazing with huge showers, great views from upper level, wonderful landscaping (we love lipstick palms). Definitely want to stay again!

Family trip for 5 (kids ages 18/15/12). Fantastic, quiet home base for us. The owner has done a great job of setting the space up for a very comfortable existence. Each of the three en suite bed/baths (all down) are extremely spacious and comfortable. For non-oceanfront, views are lovely (though distant). Decor and amenities are nearly-comprehensive and very nice ... won't remind of a Four Seasons, but it certainly feels much more like a well-appointed home than a rental. Outstandingly clean! 24/7 onsite access to surf boards, boogie boards, golf clubs, beach chairs, beach umbrellas, even a pair of bicycles ... again, you would find more/better at a high end resort, but this was a GREAT set of resources for a family in a rental.
Conversed directly with owner a few times - she is a lovely person and very reasonable / accommodating. Found her trustworthy.
The only items I would point out *for awareness* are 1) lack of A/C: trade winds generally help, but there were a few evenings when the "primary master" was still pretty hot by bedtime (even if that was alleviated by morning), 2) the local birds (songbirds and chickens) are pretty much going to wake you up 5:30-6:00am every day (that's just reality here) and 3) it's tucked a ways back in very suburban-feeling Princeville, so just know what you're biting off in terms of logistics when you sign up for that: other than Hanalei you're quite a drive to most other island activities.
Overall, we would GLADLY stay here again.

We loved this house and will be back. We ended up cooking at home every night because dinner on the porch was lovely - you can see the sun set over the water between the houses in front of us. And the kitchen had all that we needed to cook and serve meals featuring local food. We appreciated the information that was shared for enjoying the area - we took advantage of the recommendations for the best farmers market and fish store and the detailed directions of where to park to best enjoy beaches in the area. The home is spacious and well-appointed and was a wonderful place to hang out between island adventures.

Beautiful house on quiet Princeville street. Great architecture, design, cleanliness, and layout. Stayed last week March / 1st wk April, great breezes throughout the house. No A/C not a problem. Close to prime snorkeling beaches, one is a 10 min walk through right-of way trails down to a private beach, close to Makai Golf club for golf/tennis/pickleball enthusiasts, nice essential shops close by. Great location to rest, relax and recharge on the North Shore of Kauai. Kitchen is well stocked, pantry with penultimate spices for the gourmet, perfect family room for gathering and relaxing. Delicious welcome fruit/cheese/meats platter in fridge awaiting our arrival, gift from a gracious hostess. Absolutely no issues during our stay. We will be back (probably more than once!) -- love the area, love the snorkeling and beaches, love the property. Well equipped for families with beach chairs, bikes, beach towels, snorkel gear, etc. And super reasonable pricing for the area and amenities provided, and the property.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! Carol was an amazing host. Very gracious and communicative. We were very impressed with how well appointed and stocked the kitchen was. The amenities throughout the rest of the house were also incredible. Bikes to cruise around the neighborhood, boogie and surf boards, snorkeling equipment, beach chairs, beach towels, etc, etc. It made for a very easy stay. We loved the location since there are a few secluded beaches we could walk to, and only minutes away driving to Hanalei or Anini. We can't wait to return to this property. Mahalo!
