Despite being super close to all the shops and restaurants I would not stay here again. On our second day in Hawaii after being all day outside we were greeted by cockroaches in the house. After calling the support line for the rental all they did was recommend us to buy raid spray and we would be reimbursed for the product. After spraying every corner of the place we still found cockroaches the next day. After messaging the support line again all they could offer were traps for these pests. We couldn’t even cook in the building because we were so disgusted by the fact that there were so many cockroaches. After messaging and talking with the support line about how horrible this experience was and spending over a grand on our stay the only reimbursement me received was a lousy $100. DO NOT BOOK UNLESS YOU WANT TO SHARE THE SPACE WITH COCKROACHES.

Our vacation rental experience was enjoyable due to the condo's location and spaciousness. Although we've been to Kona several times before, we were not able to explore Ali'i drive like we did because of parking and walking distance. Staying at #215, Kona Plaza allowed us to walk around to all of the shops, visitor attractions, and beaches without having to find parking or walk a far distance. The convenience of this condo allowed us peruse Ali'i drive stress free. We also liked that the check in process was easy and our property manager provided great customer service.

The instructions on checking in and checking out were great. The unit was clean and ready to go. The location was great for being able to walk to activities and food locations. The AC units worked well too. Only thing of note is the rather small washing machine and the direction to not leave more than two loads at the end of the stay to be washed or an additional fee will be charged. When using the pullout couch and washing comforters/quilts, it would take several loads to get this request accomplished with the small machine. Overall a great stay here! Would stay again for sure.

Many positives for this condo: nice lanai, comfy living room, fine kitchen/dining, good location. Nice compact w/d units, which we used. Lanai was outfitted with nice chairs, day-bed. Parking is a must in Kona and great to have with this unit, in garage below, or small lot on main level. Also, a lot of beach items for customer's use: chairs, cooler, etc. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and condo was in a great location for wedding activities we were in Kona to attend.
An unfortunate aspect of this unit must be mentioned, however. The mattresses are not comfortable. Mattresses need to be replaced, plain and simple.

Overall, the stay was positive. The location was great. The unit and the entire building is somewhat dated but comfortable. My biggest complaint would be the numerous and rather stern instructions on the requirements of our stay, arrival and departing steps, etc. No one was ever in the office anytime we walked by. All the construction was certainly an annoyance.

It was a nice condo, better than expected. Tv did not work first night, it was replaced on the last night. We did see roach activity, so we kept all food in fridge. Sofa couch not comfortable, but did the job. It was a hassle to get to parking garage thur elevator you needed a key all the time, and parking garage entrance was difficult with large vehicle due to renovations going on. Condo was in perfect location

My son had a sporting championship event on island. Love the location of the condo! It was super close to everything we needed! Condo was clean and comfortable. Would totally stay at again and/or recommend to others. Mahalo!
