Overall the room, property, and most of the workers were extremely nice, however one of the employees who I believe was one of the property managers, by the name of Jim, was extremely rude, foul mouthed, and overall just a horrible person. Not only did he scream at my younger siblings, who were staying with my family in another room at Kihei Akahi, for the smallest things, but on numerous occasions I saw him yelling at other kids and also adults for things that could be handled with much more professionalism. For me his impact was so great that it actually ruined a lot of my experience while staying here, which sucks given that everything else about this place is great.

Million dollar view. Property is a bit dated but very comfortable and functional. This was our fourth stay at Kihei Akahi and we highly recommend it.

I was so disappointed to arrive in paradise and have to stay a whole month in this unit. Not only was the unit very outdated with 1970s/80’s furniture (which wouldn’t have been too bad had it been clean)!but this unit was not clean at all. There was food splattered all over the outside of the cupboards, some cupboard doors were almost falling off the hinges. The cupboard under the sink was broken and taped up, the inside of the dishwasher had food in the bottom so it was no wonder the dishes weren’t clean, the wine glassses were mismatched, the mattress was probably 50 years old and lumpy, the sheets were a dingy yellow, there was a big oil spill on carpet as you entered the unit and many black stains on the carpets throughout. I was totally disgusted with the unit and I would no recommend anyone saying here unless you are homeless and need just a roof over your head. A pigsty and total rip-off.

Only down part is the small bathroom space, the cover on the bed had yellow stains all on it and someone left the stove on so when we walked in it seem like gas and that’s extremely dangerous. Besides them the places is a good place.

Great condo! Only comment is that the room is the decorations are a bit outdated.. would recommend to update the style. Other than that, another great family condo!

I’m always traveling because it’s apart of my job and it’s something I enjoy doing. Over the years I’ve had many vacation rentals and I get that there is no such thing as a perfect one but this property is undoubtably the worst. But let’s start with the positive: the location is great with many great restaurants around and beach just a short walk away. Partial ocean view from the balcony is pretty nice. However there were just so many bad.
1. AC is only in living room, bedroom is so far from it it stays hot regardless how long you have the ac running
2. They had people coming into the unit to clean the carpet without any notice. Everything was wet!! Almost trip walking in! While they were there all of my stuff where moved around which made me very uncomfortable. Spoken to the management company but they offer no information nor apologies
3. Dining chair was broken, sadly we found out by sitting on it and nearly fell. Looked like someone tried to fix it with a screw but did a horrible job.
4. Management company harassed us about checking in everyday even though we did it already.
5. On the day of checkout the cleaner showed up an hour early banging on our door. Once again contacted the management company and received no response.
We also rented another unit in the same community under a different management, it was night and day difference. My advice to you was stay away from this unit and from vacasa. Good luck

The view from the deck is spectacular! Condo grounds are beautifully kept. The room was spacious and had fun beach amenities.
