We had a great start to our stay here. Unfortunately it ended with the management neglecting to respond after agreeing that a partial refund was in order. We had 3 broken appliances during our stay, we were extremely flexible as we are also vrbo hosts and understand that many times this is out of the control of the host. A host can’t control something unexpectedly breaking but they can control how they respond, repair or compensate a guest. When the dishwasher leaked, I notified immediately. The property manager told me the owners were still deciding what to do on day 3. This was quite confusing for me but I remained patient. I asked for a partial refund for the inconvenience and that the listing was not as described without this being repaired or replaced during our stay. She assured me a refund amount was being negotiated. Upon departure (day 10 of not working) management told me I needed to wait until the owners arrived (in 2 days) for a resolution. Again, I’m not sure why the owners travel schedule dictated taking care of clients but it did. Unfortunately, once the owners arrived the property manager stopped responding- I have corresponded via text, email and here on vrbo. In good conscience I cannot recommend this property when the stay ended in this manner. I would have loved to go into more detail about the actual property but the neglect to respond and take care of a client leaves the mark in the case. This is not good hospitality.

The bathroom was very small and stinky. I scrubbed it everyday for weeks. The carpet in the living room was very dirty and stained. The place was very well equipped kitchen but the refrigerator broke on the 2nd day and I had to keep my very expensive food in two ice chest for over a week! A lot of it spoiled. The owners purchased a cheap frig and had it put in the living room. They kept the broken frig in the small kitchen and I had several days I had to wait for different workmen to evaluate the broken frig. It got mold and the management came to clean it but couldn’t close the doors. They were kept open during my entire stay. The food pantry was across from the frig and was very hard to access. I visit my grandchildren just once or twice a year so cooking with and for them is a important part of my visit. This was a very difficult situation to cook in. It was a shame because I could see the owners had invested a lot in equipment for the kitchen. The frig in the living room was just inches away from the sofa so it was crowded and hard to get around. The sofas were very heavy but we had to move them to feel more comfortable and enjoy our time together. I pulled my torn rotator cuff moving furniture and needed to see a doctor for some treatments. All this could have been avoided if the owner would have had the broken refrigerator moved out and the replacement placed in the kitchen. They chose to keep both in the unit to make things more convenient for them to fix.
