This is our 4th VRBO in Kauai & we’ve loved every place until now. We arrived 30 mins early so I called the Vacasa customer service to see if they could activate the code since the one emailed didn’t work (normally we are allowed in early). We were on the phone almost an hour before someone answered. By this time it was 15 mins past check in and it took them 4 tries before getting the code correct. We were finally in almost 30 minutes past check in. Once in - we knew from the pictures some areas would be dated. However, it felt dirty. The top of the baseboards look like they haven’t been cleaned in months.The sofas need to be deep cleaned/changed out. Our sheets felt dirty & did not smell clean. The kids room - sheets did smell clean. I was unable to use our bathroom. The hardware for the shower was broken, you have to figure out the right turn to turn it on/off. Most concerning part of our bathroom was that the tiles had mold & the tub felt spongy. Based on the looks it appears there was/still is water damage and mold - which is a health concern. Lastly we found two roaches. That has never happened. Location is nice & this could be a great condo if 2nd bathroom were updated/functioning, home was cleaned better, sofas changed out, and a local on site property management was used. We would not stay here again. As a matter of fact, we initially asked for a late checkout before checking in, opted to pay $400 for a hotel dayroom instead of the $73 here because of the experience.

Great location, very nice, spacious, full kitchen great for family with young children. Only downside was the shower head water pressure was so strong that it was painful. We ended up using just the other tub shower.

Wonderful stay - had everything we needed in the perfect location. It was convenient to everything and had some great touches in the unit to make our stay easy and enjoyable. Loved watching the sunrises.

We absolutely loved the location and the fact that it was ground floor. The place seemed clean but our son was crawling around when we first got there and the floors although they looked clean made his hands, tops of feet and legs very dirty in the hour or so of playing. We also had an unwanted pest make a visit on the first morning there. We communicated with the property management and they were great in addressing our concern. Overall I’d recommend renting this unit but know there is no AC so it can get really hot even with the fans.

The location was fantastic plenty of room, the problems were the guest bedroom had hair and dirty sheets the first day we arrived, no pool key for two days, the worst part was the constant beeping every second in the water closet tried to turn it off with spare keys wouldn’t shut off very annoying was told I was going to get credited $500 haven’t seen $500 on my credit card yet can you help me 🤔

This house was so spacious, had a view of the ocean & was steps from the pool. There was also a path to follow from the complex down to Grand Hyatt and Shipwreck Beach. Shipwreck has big waves so if you have littles, it's best for lounging on the beach & watching people jump off the cliff. There's also a great hiking trail starting there which is family friendly.
The home had "simple" amenities which aren't so common, such as a water filter pitcher in the fridge, which is SO appreciated. One of the *many* closets had chairs, umbrella, boogie boards, child life vests/puddle jumpers, snorkel gear, and a cooler bag. Pool / beach towels are also provided. Bring your own pool toys (noodles, floaties, rings, etc). Another closet had a box of books, while another had board games and puzzles - we enjoyed teaching our daughter Checkers.
As for the kitchen, it's well stocked. There are no spices/salt/pepper/oils but I've learned that's pretty common, so I suggest grabbing those at the store if you need them, along with any foil / food storage bags if needed. There's a coffee pot, microwave, toaster, instant pot, and blender.
FYI for TV watchers - living room was fine. However, one bedroom has a TV but it's not connected to anything (you can't stream or watch cable, it's literally just a screen) and the other room has no TV at all. My husband and daughter like TV in the background to fall asleep so it was a bit inconvenient but we made it work and we still loved the place, just something to note.
The home was clean and we appreciated the nice welcome note and gifts. Thank you for a great stay, wish it was longer!!
