All furnishings are high end with exquisite Koa Wood floors throughout At night we spoil you with high quality bamboo linens.

There are 2 dogs on property: a super happy and people loving Airedale and a small Chihuahua who's a bundle of love. We also have a shy cat that usually hides from people.

This home was clean and the view was amazing. The listing is accurate and the hosts are friendly and hospitable. Our kids had a blast hanging out with their son in the pool one night. As previously mentioned, there is limited privacy, but this unit in a private setting would have been much more expensive. We were concerned about the heat, but all of the rooms have fans and the breeze kept temps pleasant. The pool was amazing and the experience unique. This home was a great deal.

We had a wonderful experience at Halani! We chose this location since it is far away from the crowds of Kona and Hilo. Ariya and Charlie were excellent hosts. We had fruit and coffee waiting for us when we arrived, which added to the personal touch. The view was breathtaking and the sunsets were incredible. We loved the open air concept and feeling the nice breeze at night, listening to nature and the waves. There was plenty of room for our family of 5 and everything we needed was provided in the home. My little one loved Jewels and the geckos. I would definitely recommend this to friends and stay there again myself if we go back to the Big Island!

The pool was inviting and the hot tub was great at night while watching the stars! There are a few beaches right near by and we really liked Pebbles, the black stone beach. We straddled the weekend between my daughters Spring breaks. We were there mid week to mid week. We were a little further from the ocean than I could tell from the pictures, but had amazing view. My husband got a kick out of the relatively steep the down/up hill drive. We like solitude so enjoyed our stay. The girls fell in love with the dogs, esp Chai. The open concept of the living room concerned my daughters at first, but they quickly adjusted and enjoyed the unobstructed view.
Many beaches from Pebble to Black sand to lava rock within 45min to an hour to explore and absorb sun.
We had a nice relaxing time, just what was needed.

We stayed a total of 3 nights and the description of home is exactly what you get. For us the only negative was the weather but that’s not on the host. We chose the home mostly due to it’s proximity to Volcano NP plus the view from the hot tub. This view from pool deck can’t be any better.
Host, Arita, is very welcoming and shares everything as described of her property. if you are looking for a relaxed stay then this is the place. It’s quite remote but therefore no street traffic. Birds, frogs, wind, and waves is all you hear at night. There are no restaurants close by but place has a wonderful open kitchen and we could have used the grill as well.
For swimming and snorkeling there are a few remote beaches close by. We went to one some evening and saw some fishes but missed whales by just a few minutes.

Amazing Views! Host were incredible. So kind and welcoming in sharing their home. A generous fruit basket and coffee were available when we checked in. They gave us great tips for beaches to visit that were a few minutes drive away.
Two things worth noting in the description: outdoor living and a shared space. We loved the outdoor living and the weather was amazing when we were there. The living room and kitchen are a well-covered porch and not screened, so you get to feel the fresh air. (We had absoutely no problem with bugs.) The open air living/dining area is not the most private space, as you are sharing their property, but they are amazing hosts. The view is absolutely spectacular. We saw whales breeching and full on sunsets from the rocking chairs. The hot tub and pool was also amazing.
Because it is a quiet setting, it is a drive to the nearest grocery store etc. We brought all our groceries so we could just enjoy the view and make dinner while watching the sunset. Amazing ocean views.

The guest house is very comfortable, equipped, and our hosts were very attentive and friendly. The views of ocean and sunsets with whales passing are incredible. Listen to the gentle breeze, whales blowing, night peepers. Thoroughly relaxing, great location to launch daily excursions, local beaches, volcano park, north point, south point, top of the world, snorkel, side of the road fish, …private location but convenient enough.

Loved the indoor/outdoor space! There was always a nice breeze that would flow through the place. The view of the ocean was awesome! The owners were extremely accommodating and friendly, can’t thank them enough. The guest house is well equipped. The location is a bit out of the way, but how we like it. We don’t care for the crowded spaces. You have the guesthouse, pool, and view pretty much to yourself. You’ll need a car rental, and these owners even rent a couple jeeps. This is a great place to stay for exploring the beautiful island of Hawaii.
