Located on Maui's southwest shore, Kihei has six miles of spectacular beaches, with some of the finest snorkeling, surfing, swimming, and beach-combing on the island. This condo is part of the upscale Maui Sunset complex. You'll also be just a short drive or bike ride from shops, restaurants, and the Kalepolepo Fishpond, where you can stand-up paddleboard while surrounded by turtles swimming and basking in the Hawaiian sun.
With a west-facing lanai you'll have a partial view of the ocean from the living room, this condo is perfect for anyone who loves gorgeous scenery and amazing sunsets. This condo has recently been remodeled and it is beautiful. The kitchen is fully stocked, beds very comfortable. Very nice to have all of the snorkel equipment, beach chairs and umbrellas provided. We were greeted with a small gift from Vacasa. We only received 3 beach towels for 4 people - called and the next day more were delivered. The bathrooms only had 1 towel & washcloth per person but with a washing machine & dryer (plus detergent!) provided we just did a load of towels a few times. The condo was fully stocked with so many supplies, games, small appliances, etc. Lots of remotes & different types of wall switches - an instruction sheet would be helpful. We did find the binder with helpful information and recommendations. We loved the large laminated map of the island.
Two reasons we aren’t giving it 5 stars. First (and biggest issue), the bedroom A/Cs only work on a timer that is set to go off every 4 hrs. We even called Vacasa & they said the owners put them in. Quite annoying when you are sleeping and it cuts off bc it gets very, very warm in the bedrooms. So at least 1-2 times every night someone has to get out of bed to reset the timer for another 4 hrs. We felt that this description should be in the condo listing since they advertise they have A/C. Second, the guest bedroom needs a dresser. They have an entertainment center (although TV is on the wall) & it’s empty so my teens just placed their clothes on the shelves but a dresser would be nice. The closet in both bedrooms had ample hangers, although the guest closet is also used for storage so no floor space inside. My teens lined up their shoes against a wall in the bedroom, it worked. The master has a very nice, large dresser. Both bathrooms are very small, but with only 2 people sharing each one we made it work just fine.
Overall we loved the location, the beautiful sunsets each night, and all of the provided supplies & extras - so helpful when traveling so far! Nothing beats breakfast each morning on the balcony overlooking the immaculate grounds and ocean!

The name of the place perfectly describes what you would witness here everyday. There’s no other sunset like it. The condo is perfectly located to see the view of the ocean, trees and everything else. We enjoyed our stay here. Everything you need is here. They have beach chairs, umbrellas, snorkels. We had an amazing time. If we ever come back in Maui, we probably stay here again.

Condo was very clean. Lots of shopping and dining options near by. The location was very central for all our activities. Would highly recommend eating from the food trucks. That food was amazing.

This condo was immaculate and very comfortable for my family of 5. It was also stocked with some beach and snorkel gear. The resort was also kept up very nicely with lots to do.

We stayed at Sunset for 4 nights and had a great stay! The view from 317 was incredible, definitely true to its name. Loved that there were beach so many beach accessories for our use, that was so handy! The beds and couches were super comfortable, would definitely love to stay here again!

This condo is gorgeous, all redone and brand new. The beds and couches are super comfy, the kitchen is well stocked with pans, plates and appliances. They also have everything you’ll need to enjoy the beach, including snorkel gear, chairs and umbrella. And they had a handicap accessibly guest bathroom and shower chair to boot. Check in at the front office to get your key to the pool and hot tub. It’s also super close to Nalu’s, our favorite restaurant on the island!
