While we had a rocky start, with a couple in the next apartment yelling and swearing at each other and/or playing loud music for the first 10 days, once they left (were they apt sitting for a friend?) everything quieted down and we felt very comfortable there. Apt is comfortable, with lots of storage/closet space. It is not exactly upgraded, but is wisely designed with good hang out possibilities for looking at the view, eating, and watching TV. The view of diamond head from the side window is amazing. Also lovely Tradewinds come into the bedroom all night. Lovely to sleep.

Canal House appears to be a properly maintained older building. There is quite a bit of traffic noise from Ala Wai blvd. The view from the suite is great. Although the suite has been recently renovated, it definitely needs to be cleaned better between guests. We had a couple of small problems during our stay that were quickly rectified by Byron, the condo manager. Being an end unit suite, there was very good air flow through the suit when the windows were open. We would stay again and would recommend this condo to friends. Access to the parking stall was very easy. There's a Safeway about a 20 minute walk away. Elevators worked well.

We enjoyed this condo. It was well equipped and the building is well maintained and quiet. Our Captain Cook representative was responsive. There are a few minor maintenance issues that need to be addressed but we would recommend this unit and Captain Cook.
