The Hanalei Getaway property is entirely rented to you and your Ohana "family" with a 2 story home of over 2,000 square feet, 4 amazing furnished outdoor lanais, 2 outdoor showers, a beach gear room full of gear for you to use, stacked surf/sup paddleboard/kayak racks, a loaded bike shed and much more! The upstairs spacious master bedroom has a comfortable California King bed, eco friendly A/C unit, woven swinging chair, large double wooden closet, numerous windows high vaulted ceilings and beautiful mountain and waterfall views. The upstairs full bathroom has been recently remodeled with a custom subway tile shower, and an Acacia wood bathroom sink countertop, vaulted ceilings and beautiful views of the lush Hanalei foliage. Lying in the comfortable queen size bed of the second upstairs bedroom you will enjoy the seemingly never ending mountain and waterfall views out the window. The natural light form the numerous windows in the upstairs kitchen, dining room and living room will take your breath away! The kitchen has new eco friendly stainless steel appliances (large refrigerator, dishwasher and electric oven/stove, and it is fully equipped with many cooking accessories (blender, coffee maker/grinder, microwave, etc) for all of your families culinary needs. I rented this house for October break with our kids, ages 17-20. The house is amazing. It is stocked full of adventure gear. We rode bikes to town several times a day. Boogie boarded, snorkeled, surfed and sun bathed at the beach. Awesome to have all that at the house. We had the best time ever.

Short walk to town and the beach, just have to walk in the grass a bit as road shoulder is narrow in some areas. House is set back from the road a bit, so no road noise issues (and low speed limit in any case). Nice fenced in yard that was great for our toddler. Clean and well furnished. Main living areas get a bit hot during peak of the afternoon but comfortable otherwise and bedroom a/c units kept bedrooms very cool for sleeping at night. Outdoor bathtub/shower was fun for our toddler. Lots of beach gear. Owners very responsive.

Our family loved our stay at Hanalei Getaway! This place is gorgeous and in a great spot! It was perfect for our three boys who could spread out. We walked and biked the five minutes to the beach and used the surf boards, sand toys, and all the other gear they provided! Everything was clean and well-taken care of! The outdoor showers were my personal favorite. Downtown Hanalei is a short walk from the house but it is along a busy road, however that never deterred us and it still felt safe with the shoulder on the road and sidewalks. Mike was super helpful and responsive, even later in the evening. The general location on island made it possible to explore all the hidden gems Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with our little family!

We all really enjoyed staying at this house. the location was close to town and close to the beach. Both were walking distance. The house was well equipped and comfortable. The kitchen had all brand new pots and pans. The house comes with a ton of beach umbrellas, chairs, bikes, surf boards, boogie boards, kayaks and SUPs. I do suggest that if you come to this house, you rent a pick up truck so you can take the kayaks, SUPs etc to different places to use. The bedrooms all had A/C so that made sleeping at night comfortable. The host was great to work with. We did have an electrical problem while we there that the host got taken care of quickly. An added bonus is that there is a huge avocado tree on the property. We had fresh avocados every day.

A beautiful and unique place to stay, this Hanalei Getaway invited all of us to enjoy many sweet spots on the property and near it!
We were first greeted by a mature avocado tree (which continued to share its ripening fruit each day!), and an incredible fence made of surfboards and blossoming colorful plants. Inside this spacious home are fabulous places to gather, cook, hang out, and play games. There are multiple covered spaces outside that allow one to listen to rain and look for rainbows. We were all especially fond of the outdoor showers and bathtub.
We all so appreciated that there were bikes of all sizes to accommodate us, as well as a plethora of beach toys.

This was our second time staying in this house, and it was even better than the first. We discovered the fleet of cruiser bikes in the back shed, and we all rode down to Hanalei Bay for sunset together. #DreamLife

The Hanalei getaway was a dream come true stay to enjoy our first trip to Hanalei Beach. The home’s inviting, warm, and artistic qualities were an integrative part of our enjoyable vacation. We thoroughly appreciated the availability of sports equipment, outdoor showers and tub, swing chair, cool surfboard fence, great location, clean spaces, well-stocked kitchen and “chill” vibe of the home - this all allowed for a comfortable stay. Our kids are clamoring to go back!

We booked this home for half our trip and never wanted to leave . It was amazing . We loved the location so much and feeling like we were right in the middle of the most amazing beaches, markets, hiking areas, and the culture here . We walked to the farmer’s market, self serve cheesecake, food trucks and so much more . We watched the sunset across the bay, snorkeled at tunnels beach, and hiked many locations . The home allowed us to gather for dinners and be together . We loved the decor and personal artistic touches. The outside shower is amazing! We were all fighting over it . We would love to come back and felt this was so much better than being in a resort! Thank you Leila and Michael.

We had a blast! The house is clean and comfortable. We enjoyed eating breakfast and evening snacks in the kitchen and dining area. We loved the bikes (enough for 8 of us and even more), the surfboards, and the snorkel gear. That’s a huge bonus not to have to rent or buy that stuff. We had so much fun at Hanalei Beach, Tunnels Beach, and kayaking the Hanalei River. I followed the owners’ recommendation of renting a truck. I’m glad we do. We would definitely stay here again.

We had the best time in this house. The house was beautiful and very clean. It was only 5 of us so we had tons of room. There was so much beach gear, chairs, umbrellas, snorkel gear, and beach towels that we used. We didn't use the surf boards but there were so so many of them. Maybe next time. My girls went to a bike ride around time too! We were able to walk to the beach everyday and walked to sunset. Then walked to Pinks for ice cream before walking home every night. I can't wait to come back. I love Hanalei! We had the best time!!!

This house is really cool. Lovely decor, beautiful landscaping and views. The downstairs area is perfect for a young family or in our case some young adults. It is ridiculously well stocked for any beach adventure you could choose. The only downside is it wasn't quiet. The landscaping does such a great job making you feel like you are in your private oasis but you are very close to neighbors. Unfortunately nothing the owners can control.

The best part about this property was all the gear - bikes, paddle boards, chairs, etc. We used it all! The beach access is close and easy and we enjoyed using the sand volleyball courts that were set up.

This is our second trip to the area. The house was great and perfect size for a family of four. The owner was very nice and responsive. Clean house and lots to do. On a busy road so you can have to walk on the side of the highway to get to the beach, My bad for not asking the question in advance but worth noting. Overall terrific--very comfortable house.
