Wake up to the stunning Pacific ocean right outside your back door in this lovely townhouse located in the Keauhou Kona Surf and Racquet Club. You can't get much closer to the ocean than this spot! Enjoy your coffee on the back patio while ocean watching, than take a short 3 minute walk to the nearby beach where you can relax to the sound of the waves, beach comb, or explore the tide pools.
Hale O Ke Kai has plenty of room for a family to make itself at home. Upstairs are two bedrooms and a bathroom with shower and bathtub. The main bedroom which faces the ocean has a king size bed and Smart TV. The 2nd bedroom facing the courtyard also has a Smart TV and two twin size beds. Both bedrooms have closets and dressers with plenty of room to store your belongings.
Downstairs is the living and dining area, kitchen, and second bathroom with shower. The living area has a large Smart TV and a comfortable mattress on the pull-out sofa bed.
Walk out of the living room to an unbeatable lanai (patio) with spectacular views of the ocean. The lanai has a table and chairs where you can eat your meals and drink your coffee, all while taking in the gorgeous sunsets and the surf crashing against the volcanic rocks below. Kids and adults alike will love watching the crabs scurry across the rocks, the bright yellow Tang swim, and large assortment of watercraft. The patient viewer may even catch a glimpse of dolphins, whales, or sea turtles.
Save money by taking advantage of the fully equipped kitchen to make your coffee and meals at home. Next to the kitchen is a washer and dryer unit so you can throw in a load of laundry easily and conveniently.
Walk across the parking lot to the family friendly pool which starts at 1 foot deep making it fun for babies and toddlers. You can play tennis or pickle ball and even learn to play from the on-site tennis pro. Stroll around the beautifully manicured grounds where you will feel like you are in a tropical paradise with the large variety of fragrant, colorful plants and flowers.
Take a three minute walk to the quiet, lightly used beach right next to the Club. Here you can enjoy a morning or afternoon of relaxing, looking for sea shells, or exploring the tide pools. Please note that this beach is fine for wading but it is generally not safe for swimming.
We also have lots of beach gear- boogie board, goggles, snorkeling gear, flippers, beach chairs, umbrella, and cooler for guest use- everything you'll need for swimming and a day at the beach for your convenience.
Keauhou Kona Surf and Racquet Club is a gated community with coded access. The townhouse has one free designated parking place right by the front door.
PLEASE NOTE:
1. The town-home DOES NOT have any air-conditioning but it does have ceiling and portable fans in the bedrooms and living room.
2. Although this town-home is direct ocean front it is not beach front. It is a just a few minutes from a small beach, but it is not a swimming beach.
3. Depending on the weather there may be times that the storm doors on the back patio will be be shut due to high surf; limiting access to the patio. This can happen any time of year and unfortunately it's a chance you take when being so close to the ocean.
4. The patio is semi private as the area beyond the patio is shared between the neighboring townhomes.

What a wonderful experience falling asleep and waking up to the waves crashing on shore! The property was great and the host purchased tennis rackets for us to use at the club, which my son loved. It can get a little stuffy upstairs but plenty of fans (ceiling and pedestal) were provided so no one had trouble sleeping. It was a great experience!

Overall, it was a great area and location. Our only complaint was that it was very warm in the condo and couldn’t get a breeze so sleeping wasn’t great. Also the waves crashing were VERY LOUD and kept us up. The place is a little outdated but has some great features (2 bathrooms, snorkels, tennis rackets, pots/pans, spices etc)

We enjoyed our stay. Sage was very accommodating. The unit needs a little updating. But over all it had everything we needed except for no A/C. We had some hot days and cool days but it all balanced out in the end.

We loved the most that it is waterfront property, with just a few minutes walk to the charming black sand beach. Very convenient location just by the shopping center and restaurants. Property had everything we needed, even snorkeling and beach equipment were provided . Swimming pool and club house are very neat. Owner was super responsive and went beyond and above to make our stay very comfortable.
Definitely recommend and hope to come back soon!

Beautiful patio with ocean view. Quiet location. Large unit. Older property like all the properties in this area. Pool area is beautiful. We really enjoyed our stay and would book the same unit if we go back.
