Our spacious split level condo offers incredible and unobstructed ocean views. The private lanai is the perfect spot for true relaxation, listening to the sounds of the waves crashing against rocky ocean shore, or watching the whale’s breach and play in the waters nearby.
All the rooms have magnificent views of the ocean and are furnished in contemporary design.
We have recently installed a Mitsubishi Mini Split Air Conditioning system. The living room and each bedroom have an independent wall mounted air conditioning unit, allowing for individualized and personnel settings.
The living room has a magnificent view of the ocean and has been newly updated with modern furniture, a 75” flat screen TV, Blue Ray/DVD player and Bluetooth stereo speaker. The condo also provides cable and free high speed internet.
The kitchen is fully equipped and features granite countertops, shaker cabinets, upgraded stainless steel appliances, and is complete with all necessary cooking tools, gadgets, small appliances, and pots and pans for all your cooking needs.
The master bedroom has a full en-suite bath, with a king-sized bed. The guest bedroom also has a full en-suite bath with two twin beds. The bedrooms are separated to provide plenty of privacy.
We also have our custom roast Kauai coffee in the kitchen to start your day right. Our service includes a host of amenities with free parking, Wi-Fi and washer/dryer in your condo. To ensure an exceptional experience, we provide our guests with hotel grade supplies such as full sets of towels and three rolls of toilet paper at each bathroom, soaps/shampoo/conditioner/lotion, detergents, paper towel, Kleenex, and trash bags to cover the first a couple of days of your stay.
The condo complex offers several amenities and the grounds are beautifully landscaped. Enjoy the ocean view pool, Jacuzzi, gas grills in the BBQ pavilion, and tennis courts. If you love to golf, there are multiple courses nearby.
Makahuena at Poipu is located on the southernmost point of Kauai. This unique oceanfront property is situated on a bluff above the rocky shoreline on the Poipu Coast, located between Shipwreck Beach (for experienced swimmers) and Poipu Beach, which is ideal for children and snorkeling. You can reach either beach via a short 5 – 10 minute walk or by car.
Load beach gears on a cart and walk along the beach trail to enjoy swimming, snorkeling and surfing at the popular beaches in Poipu. With Poipu, Brennecke's, and Shipwreck beaches each a short stroll away, guests can take advantage of our beach towels, beach chairs, coolers, beach umbrella, sand toys, boogie boards, and spacious cart.
Enjoy morning walk or jogging on the Poipu Beach Trail towards Maha'ulepu Heritage Trail and admire the breathtaking view over Shipwreck Beach and the beautiful Grand Hyatt Resort. Explore a 3.7 mile scenic trail towards Punahoa Point that offers the chance to see wildlife and the local flora.
Brennecke's Deli and Brennecke's Beach Broiler serve lunch and dinner nearby, and a five-minute drive leads to Poipu Shopping Village and The Shops at Kukuiula, both of which have an assortment of dining and shopping possibilities. Another five-minute drive brings guests to Old Koloa ...

Myself and my husband stayed with my friend and her husband. The condo was prefect for 2 couples. Having the full and fully stocked kitchen with the washer/dryer and beach chairs/umbrella worked out great for all of us. You definitely need to have a car here in Kauai. Parking was always easy here as well. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Our multigenerational family group spent a week at this condo. Overall it was clean, well equipped with everything we needed to cook good meals and nice quality beach items to use. The number of stairs both getting to the unit and inside the unit was a bit harder to navigate with a toddler and grandparents- but we took it slow. The pool at the complex was extremely cold, so we only used it once- which was disappointing. The grill area of the complex had a nice grill, but definitely wasn’t anywhere you’d want to hang out to eat- it’s located beside the parking lot with views of buildings. For the price point we were disappointed with the amenities at this older complex. Otherwise it was a great place to watch the whales spout, walk to beaches and enjoy the sunrises and sunsets on the point.

When we arrived, this unit was clean & everything in its place. The eastern view proved to be a blessing. When strong 25-35 mph winds were blowing through one night, we were still able to enjoy the lanai as it was protected. Yes, there is some construction next door & your view is partially of that construction but it certainly didn’t obstruct the amazing view. Also, we were in this area last year & the construction seems to be happening on “island time” which means you might hear someone hammer for half an hour although we didn’t really notice any noise.

Condo and lanai view both incredible. Located in a beautiful area of Poipu. Close to a great beach and tons of good restaurants. Homeowner Claire very nice and helpful. Would highly recommend.

My husband and I and our friends really enjoyed our stay in the condo! The bedrooms were on opposite ends of the hallway so it was perfect for two couples. The king sized beds were comfortable. We watched breathtaking sunrises every morning from the lanai. (There was construction in the lot next door but it wasn’t blocking the views). We all enjoyed the beautiful pictures and artwork in the condo. We visited Kauai Coffee Company so we were happy the condo had a coffee bean grinder, coffee pot, and Keurig to sample our delicious coffees we bought. The kitchen had quite a few spices, salt and pepper etc. plenty of dishes, pots and pans, wine glasses, blender, tea pot & I even found a pitcher for my fresh brewed iced tea. We appreciated the washer and dryer and downstairs bathroom. The “beach” closet had everything we needed for a day at the beach, a cooler, chairs, umbrella, snorkel gear and really nice beach towels. The grounds to the condo are very pretty and manicured. The pool and hot tub area are well kept and clean. We used the Weber BBQs on the grounds, Although it was a bit of trek from the second story condo to the bbq area we didn’t mind. Everything was comfortable, clean and enjoyable! We had the best time! - There was some construction going on that slightly obstructed the view.
- We found that the sofa bed had bed bugs when we arrived. We had to wash the sheets. You may want to spray before future guests arrive.
- The Beach umbrellas were broken.
Otherwise, nice place and location. thank you.

The unit was comfortable and clean. It's location is an asset as it's next to the Maha'uepu Heritage walk and a park where the turtles rest. Great stay.

The location of the home was great! It was located by a trail in front of the ocean, and was a short 10-20 min walk to Brenneckes and Poipu beach! The kitchen was well stocked and the bed sheets were clean. The view of the ocean was great from the balcony and rooms! Each room also had its own air conditioning. There were plenty of beach supplies such as umbrellas, snorkel gear, coolers, boogie boards, and sunscreen to use! We really enjoyed our stay!
