Our stay was perfect. Everything went well. The unit was clean, and Fely was very helpful and entertaining. If you are a cat lover you will bond with the lovely cats that patrol the yard. If not, they will get along fine without your attention. The view from the picnic table in the front yard was a magnificent view of the ocean. There are many great restaurants and coffee shops in the area. There is a KTA market about 1 mile away. We spent a lot of time on the lanai. Thanks Fely!

Fely was an excellent host. We enjoyed the lush plants around the property and the relaxed vibe. Loved the kitties who greeted us in the morning and got a good laugh watching “JC” cat when he got a case of the zoomies. Bonus was catching the sun go down from the top of the hill with the ocean view.

Good value for a two bedroom property near the Kona area. Fely was nice and any needs were addressed.
Know before you go, the kitchen is an outdoor kitchen with a bar fridge, microwave, toaster but no stove/oven (just a barbecue with a side burner). The second bedroom is not separated from the main living area. Not deal breakers but is good to know before you book.

This location was very very clean with a perfect little outdoor kitchen and enough space inside for us to relax. Close to everything we had planned but still away from the busy tourist areas.

We enjoyed out stay at Fely’s sweet Ohana near Kealakekua/Captain Cook area. It’s a great location for exploring this part of the Big Island and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. We also enjoyed our visits with Fely and her 3 cats when we were coming or going.

We enjoyed our stay at Auntie’s. We had our baby with us and our friend way able to come early to set up our pack n play for him. When our flight got cancelled and we would arrive a day late, she was very accommodating with the change of plans. The lenai is cozy and looks into the beautiful backyard with frogs wishing you a cozy stay. It was so peaceful. We were also close to shops and stores, and when we had questions Auntie was more than willing to help. She adored our son, who was 8.5months when we stayed. And the shower was heaven. Next time we go to visit, we will definitely be staying here again.

Host is very considerate and accommodating and we feel comfortable like we are at home. We enjoyed the outdoor dining area setup to eat and enjoy the ambience. The elevation of Keakakekua is ~1500ft so it is generally cooler in the evening. The location is very convenient and close to Honaunau two step snorkeling site. There’s a KTA Express nearby where we pick up food before a day trip everyday. It is also closer to Hawaii Volcanoes NP than Kona, and just 30 min away from Kona airport. We highly recommend this Ohana!

We truly enjoyed our stay here. Perfect place to begin and end our days.
Grocery store is less than 5 minutes away.
Perfect location to explore the island, easy access to the main roads. Beaches minutes away by car.
We found our host to be welcoming, considerate and eager to accommodate any needs we had.
