We thoroughly enjoyed our 11 night stay. The condo was clean and spacious enough for our family of 4. The kitchen was well stocked with plates, cutlery and glasses, although there was no cooking oil or spices other than salt and pepper.
We used the balcony extensively for morning coffees and just enjoying the pool view. The beach adjacent to the condo was nice enough that we went to it several times.
We also walked to Kenji Burger, Safeway, and along the oceanfront path to Lava Lava.
I would recommend this condo to family and friends.

Waipouli Beach Resort is a wonderful, well-maintained property with an awesome, family-friendly pool, and the condo itself was perfect for our needs - comfortable, clean, and nicely appointed with high-end appliances and a kitchen stocked with necessities. Although the Vacasa team was kind enough to have a variety of Hawaiian goodies waiting for us in the unit, their management was otherwise lacking. After a long flight, we arrived at the condo about an hour before check in and found that the door code did not work. I sent a message to the Vacasa Team to inquire about getting in a bit earlier but did not get a response, so we decided to grab some food. We returned after 4pm only to find that the door code still did not work. No one responded to my text messages, so I called the Vacasa number. The representative was nice and provided me with several possible codes, none of which worked. He put me on hold to talk to a manager and our call was disconnected. He called back shortly after, still with no new codes, and put me on hold again, at which point the call was again disconnected. I called the number again and spoke with a different person, who finally found an entry code that worked. Things went generally well for the rest of the week, aside from a bedroom smoke alarm that fell off the wall and then later went off for no reason at a very early hour. On the day before our departure, we left the apartment to enjoy our last day out, but I realized I left my phone in the condo. When I tried to get into the unit, I found that the door code inexplicably no longer worked, despite having worked fine earlier in the day. Without my phone, I wasn’t able to check the app or send a message. I used my husband’s phone to google the Vacasa number and call in. Because I didn’t have my phone, I couldn’t provide my confirmation number, and at first the rep couldn’t find my reservation. After some time, he managed to track it down and give me a new code with no explanation as to why the code had randomly changed. Our experience echoed that of a previous reviewer from months ago, so clearly these types of frustrating issues have yet to be resolved and mar an otherwise excellent stay.

We came with our daughter and her young family. This was a perfect spot if you are looking for a family friendly spot. The pool was incredible for young and old alike. Walking distance to downtown Kapaa.
Our condo was very comfortable and overlooked the pool. There is a Safeway just across the street. We stopped at Costco when we landed and that saved so me money. It would have been nice if the kitchen were better stocked. There should be baggies, foil and perhaps a few storage containers. A few laundry pods were available but not nearly enough for a week. We had tobuy bleach for our towels because of red dirt washing after hikes.
Overalll, a great space!

The property is 4 stars. Waipouli is a wonderful place to stay and the rooms are fantastic. My only complaints about the room is the bed is a bit uncomfortable and the smoke detector in the bedroom went off several times and probably needs replaced.
The 1 star experience is entirely on Vacasa's management of the property. The stay started off with a missing parking pass (honest mistake), but it took several phone calls to get ahold of the right person and we didn't get a parking pass until 2pm the following day, so we started of our trip stressed out about our car. We opted to pay for the 2pm checkout, but Vacasa still showed up at the 10am checkout time. Whatever, honest mistake again. However, we found out around 12pm that our door code had been changed and we could no longer have free access to the room. Our 2 year old child was taking a nap at the time and it was only by sheer luck that one of us stayed behind while taking out trash/managing luggage. As I write this review (over an hour later), I still do not have free access to the room. I've called Vacasa three separate times and can't get ahold of anyone local. My call has been dropped twice and I've been told I'd get a call soon, which hasn't happened. If my wife and I had actually been locked out, I'd be calling 911 to rescue my child and considering legal action against Vacasa. This is literally the worst hotel experience of my entire life. I will never be renting from Vacasa again.

Plenty of space in the unit for us to relax. The kitchen has A+ quality appliances and we would have been comfortable in the unit for weeks rather than days. We loved Oasis restaurant - one of the best meals we had on the island and wonderful staff. Great pool and access to the beach and the cute town of Kapa'a. When we come back to Kaui this is where we will want to stay :)
