Kona Shores offers breathtaking views from the swimming pool and a private ocean gate to our renowned "One Step," a naturally occurring ocean access point for snorkelers and scuba divers. You'll be a short walk from the beach and across the street from bike rentals, perfect for visits to Kona Village. The Kona trolley is also available to guests.

It wasn't bad at all. Very cute place. But they had a very bad ant problem. The whole floor was covered in hundreds of them near the rug so we took it outside and cleaned the place up. I had to clean it myself multiple days. Probably wouldn't go back since that made my son uncomfortable.
But if you don't mind ants then it's a cool place.

We enjoyed our stay here. The place was clean and had all the necessities we needed to cook our own meals. The pool was a nice temperature at 9 am and the views of the ocean from there were great.
The only issue was the lock box was missing the keys. Had to call vacasa and then they had to get a hold of the local maintenance to get the maintenance key box code. After we got that one unlocked to unlock the outer screen door, the electronic keypad for the main door wouldn’t work(battery dead?). Took over 30 minutes to get in after calling and being on hold, but those issues would be easy fixes and I’m sure they got it taken care of for the next guests hopefully.

We had a little trouble checking in because the pass code sent to us did not work. We contacted the phone number on site n were helped right away. Took about 10 min.

We loved the location and the condo had all the amenities you could need. The location was much better than advertised because parking in downtown Kona was crazy, so being able to walk into town is a huge bonus. We didn't spend much time at the pool, but the view is amazing as it is right on the water. The one caveat to the booking is that it is booked through a third party (Vacasa) and they were very hard to get ahold of via VRBO, which was the only contact option for messaging. They seemed to have a different cancelation policy than what was advertised on VRBO was well, which was a bit frustrating and definitely a different experience than booking through a standard VRBO listing. Otherwise, would definitely recommend staying here!

Other than access the place late at night 3 am as code didn’t work after many tries. Contact individual by phone but the codes she gave me still didn’t work. Only after some nice lady gave me the code to the lockbox that said maintenance did we find a key to access condo. Other than that a great stay in a well equipped condo!! Wonderful place to stay
