NEW: This home includes FREE Hilton Waikoloa Village Resort passes in 2025. The Hilton Waikoloa Village Resort was voted #1 resort in Hawaii by USA Today in 2024. Normally resort passes cost $100/adult and $60/child but when staying at this home use for up to 6 people is COMPLIMENTARY with no additional cost each and every day of your stay. This includes use of resort pools, the river pool, waterslides, hot tub, saltwater lagoon, lounge chairs, towels and parking validation for one vehicle.
Children under 5 do not count towards 6 people.

The house has a modern Polynesian design and a spacious, 1700 sq. ft, open floor plan with beautiful travertine floors throughout and a fully equipped gourmet kitchen, outfitted with granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances.
There are two bright and airy Primary suites, both with King beds and spa-like, ensuite bathrooms.
The third bedroom has a two TwinXLs that can be combined as King with gel topper and also has a private bath.
An additional rollaway can be brought for a 7th person, (best suited for a child)
All of the beds are outfitted with luxurious linens, and all of the baths are stocked with 100% cotton towels. In addition there are soaps, shampoos and conditioners as well as essentials like hair dryers, iron and more.
The airy open concept main floor includes kitchen, dining area, great room, and large covered lanai with private grill.

We enjoyed our stay for the most part, but we did experience some problems. The biggest was the closure of the pool for few days during our weeklong stay for maintenance. We went with this property specifically because of its proximity to the pools and jacuzzies, but to our surprise, the jacuzzies were closed when we arrived and the pools were closed a couple of days into our visit. After two days of closure, we called to complain and within a few hours they were reopened. I wonder how long they would have been closed had we not called? Other issues included the air condition not working efficiently, a leak under the kitchen sink, which was clearly a known problem since a towel was left there to absorb the water, a fan remote control that did not work correctly, and a washing machine that leaked loads of water on the floor whenever we first started a new cycle. Management did send someone out to attempt to fix the washer with no success, but they were able to fix the link under the kitchen sink before we left. The biggest issue was the pool closure, as I believe we paid a premium for place so nearby but were only able to enjoy for about half of our trip. If maintenance needed to happen during this time period, we should have been made aware of this and offered a discount or an options to change properties. This why the 2 star location rating.

We really enjoyed our stay at the House of Lights home. Our timing was perfect as we enjoyed 88 to 90 degrees for the 13 days we were there. Host Management Company was/is most responsive when we needed only a few things. They provided everything we needed; beach chairs, umbrellas, cooler, Boogey Boards, bikes, etc. However, I couldn't locate snorkeling gear; larger fins and mask that would work for me. Knowing how good this management team is I should have requested one but didn't feel the urge to do so. There are 5 snorkeling sets, perfect for my wife and/or children's sizes, which we didn't need. This unit is located close to the adult pool area and a few times, around dusk, we could hear voices, otherwise, it was perfect. We'd highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a special place to chill out. Mahalo & Aloha!

We had an amazing time in Hawaii and it all began with our amazing rental and the management team at Paradise in Hawaii. The house was spectacular and surpassed all expectations. Thanks to clear and timely communication, the check in and check out processes could not have been easier and the house itself was super clean, comfortable, well appointed and stocked for all needs...be they cooking, cleaning, beach gear, etc. We loved having the beach chairs, coolers, toys, and towels available so we didn't have to worry about finding them elsewhere. Jeff, Suzanne, Marni and the entire team went out of their way to quickly answer all questions or needs, even going so far as to rearrange the cleaning service to accommodate an unanticipated late check out. We have already begun discussing our next trip to the island and our housing search will begin and end with Paradise in Hawaii. Mahalo and then some!
