This place was very clean, tidy, and a great spot for my wife and I. The lanai was comfortable and the owners provided almost every you would need to do any type of activity. The tv was difficult to navigate, but will you really be spending that much time inside? There is a great poke spot across the street, market down the road, and a short drive to town. I would definitely recommend this place for a couples getaway.

Overall we had a decent stay.
Location –
The apartment complex is located on Ali’I Drive. Its across the street from the beach where you can watch the stunning sunsets. Directly across the street is the famous Da Poke Shack. You can be one of the first people on line to get delicious poke. If you’re in a pinch, there is a convenience store up the road in walking distance for provisions like cereal, milk, and beverages. Its not in the heart of Downtown Kona which is something we liked.
Apartment –
Positives -
Easy access to the unit. The rental company provides a key code instead of a key so that was convenient. The ground floor unit lanai faced Ali’i Drive which may be noisy for some but we had the AC on and the lanai door closed so we never heard anything.
There is a full kitchen and a washer/dryer which came in handy. We did not cook but did use the full-size fridge and microwave.
They have a Keurig coffee maker and provide a few k-cups if you like that type of coffee.
They offered ample bath and beach towels as well as toiletries and beach stuff (snorkels, fins, chairs, umbrellas, noodles, coolers, etc).
Queen size bed was comfortable. The dining table/chairs were helpful to have our meals. We did not watch TV but saw they offered streaming.
The Rental Company was very good with correspondence. I would text and they would reply within a minute.
Negatives –
The apartment needs some TLC. Items need to be replaced and there is no warmth in the space. From the décor to the “new renovations”, you could tell it was slapped together.
The kitchen needs help. The fridge was dirty and the handle to the fridge door was coming off. The kitchen cabinets and drawers were all sticking or were off track.
The bathroom smelled like sewage and it took a whole day and a lot of air freshener for the smell to be manageable.
The bed was made and sheets were clean but there were dark hairs in the sheets that were not mine and it looks like the cleaners only dusted up to 5 feet off the ground. Areas taller than 5 feet seemed to have a lot of dust (light fixtures, walls).
The lanai screen door was broken.
It was just the little things that added up.
Overall, this studio apartment is a good place to stay if you’re using it to just rest and clean up. It’s a good location to use as a home base to visit coffee farms, the Captain Cook area, Manini Beach and other points south.

We had a wonderful two-week stay. The location was great - right across the street from the ocean and pool. We caught sunset there every night. The property was very clean and had all the amenities we needed, including beach chairs, towels, etc. The pictures and write-up on the property were accurate. Check-in was easy and contactless. I would recommend this property to others.
It is located about 15-30 minutes away from several awesome snorkeling sites (hike to Captain Cook, Two Step, Kona Dog Beach, etc.). It is about 2 hours from Volcanoes National Park. It is about 90 minutes to some excellent hiking to the south (Green Sand Beach) and the north/east (Wapio Valley, Pololu Valley, Akaka Falls, Rainbow Falls, etc.). There were a variety of restaurants/shops/groceries within 15 minutes drive. Overall we had a wonderful stay. Thank you!

room was immaculate. thoughtfully decorated. ali’i drive is a little noisy, but can’t really hear the traffic with the lanai door closed + ac on. conveniently located, close to kta & ali’i gardens marketplace. def recommend.
