Konea 106, Honau Kai Resort, is a fabulous ground floor unit (2 Bed/1 Bath) located at the center of the resort on the quiet side with a private lanai. Our lanai extends out to an open grass area which many of our guests use to relax, play games, or sit and enjoy the quiet surroundings. There are no elevators exiting our unit or any wait to enjoy the resort and pool areas. Our guests come and go with our secure lanai door locks for convenient access to the pool areas and beaches. From our lanai to the wonderful pools and beach is only 1-2 minutes.
Safe Travels - Ground floor with added secure access in/out from the lanai (keyed), no walking through the hotel hallways, corridors, or elevators to a higher floor location. Our unit features its own dedicated ventilation and AC system and air is NOT circulated/shared with other units and common places.

OUR CONDO: Ideal unit for families - 2 Bed / 1 Bath 950 square foot condo (plus 190 sq ft Lanai/Garden) with spacious 11 foot ceilings. It is located in the Konea tower (south facing side). Situated in the heart of Honua Kai Resort on the GROUND floor, it provides easy access in and out (from either the keyed Lanai or condo door) - no elevators needed! The lanai opens up to lush lawns for games or activities and walkways with resort views and the West Maui mountains. Outside foot traffic is considerably less than inner courtyard units, providing the convenience of walking out on the lanai and being a minute away from the resorts many pools, the amazing Duke's Restaurant, the Hokulani fish pond, and the wonderful Aina Gourmet Market.

FEATURES: This unit features three larger beds - in the master, a King Bed with deluxe linens, a King Bed in 2nd bedroom, and an upgraded Queen Plus (66x80) size comfort sofa sleeper in the living room. Our sleeper is 6” wider than standard sofa beds, and includes 80” sleeping surface length, solid platforms providing even support - no bars, no springs, and no sagging. TECHNOLOGY: Both bedrooms and living area have their own HD flat screen TV's with cable. Additionally, the main living room features a wall mounted 65" 4K Smart TV, plus a Blu-Ray DVD player. Throughout the unit, enjoy 300 MB Fiber internet and wireless AC service. An Amazon Echo for streaming music is also provided for your listening pleasure. Our guests are subscribed to the resort's towel tracker program, allowing you to receive clean pool / beach towels around the property. Once finished, the towels can be returned to the same spot, no laundering needed.

We really had a wonderful time at Honua Kai. There were some minor issues that came up in the first few days and both the owner and the property manager were super responsive and addressed the problems within a few hours. Can’t say enough about the resort - we’d gladly stay there again.

We had a very positive experience. The unit is large and very comfortable. The location is fantastic. Parking was easy. The in unit washer and dryer were a life saver. Beach and pool access are extremely convenient from the unit (and the beach and pools on the property are great). There is a restaurant and a small convenience store on the property - we utilized both during our stay - and there are also markets, stores and other restaurants very close by. I spent a lot of time considering numerous options before booking this property for our family’s vacation and I really feel like we received tremendous value by staying here. Additionally, both the owner of the property and the property manager could not have been more helpful and accommodating. We unexpectedly had to change our flight into Maui to arrive much earlier than initially expected and both the owner and the property manager accommodated an early check in (at the last minute) for us. Similarly, on the day of our departure, they allowed us to remain in the unit until mid afternoon as our flight wasn’t leaving until after 7pm. We were traveling with our 4yo son, so both the early check in and the late check out made a huge difference for us in terms of allowing our son a place to comfortably nap and eat before/after a long day of travel. We really can’t thank the property owner and manager enough! We will definitely be back!

Loved this place! They had everything we needed to enjoy Hawaii and the location was perfect. They had many great add ons for kids which was great when we stayed in for a little down time. The location is perfect, quick walk to the pool/ beach. The lanai was so nice to hang out on and there is a large common grass area perfect for kids to run around on and play. The owner and manager were very responsive, gave great tips and checked in during our stay. Would definitely stay here again.

Honestly, if you are considering this unit, just book it and begin planning the rest of your trip. This unit and resort were great for our family of 5. The host was very helpful and provided great information, along with a useful app with detailed instructions and tips. The unit was clean and well stocked for everything you would need for cooking, laundry, and of course the beach. The convenience of this location cannot be understated. Being able to be at the pool, beach, Duke's, grills, coffee shop, exercise room, or underground parking in under a minute was great. Having the extra grass area in front essentially doubled the lanai space. The resort itself is well maintained. The Duke's was great as a restaurant and also pool-side service. The pools are great and not just boring rectangles. We would absolutely stay here again!

This was a great place to stay, the property was lovely and had all the ammenities and was so much fun for children and the unit was beautiful and outfitted with everything we needed for our stay. I would definitely recommend. The only thing I would note is that the second bedroom doesn't have any windows. This was GREAT for our young children (3&5) because they slept in so late in the mornings with no natural light coming in, but may be a bit disappointing if you are planning to have adults sleep in the second bedroom.

Clean, spacious and family friendly. The host provided detailed arrival instructions that were so handy, with an app that included everything we needed to know before we even got there. Host was prompt in answering my questions as well. My favorite part was the floor level which opens up to a grassy area for our very active boys to run and play every day. The resort itself was beautiful and the onsite restaurant a bonus! Saw too many rainbows to count from our lanai. Would definitely stay again!!!

We loved our stay. The communication leading up to the stay and during was fantastic. With the tragic fires that had happened earlier in the year, we were uncertain of how things would be, but the property owner provided a lot of info to help. The location, supreme. Just walk out the lanai and down to the pool or to Duke's. It was so convenient. It was also quiet and comfortable inside. We would definitely stay here again if we come back to Maui.

Dan was super communicative before our arrival especially as we had lots of questions about how Maui was doing after the fires and whether everything at the resort was open. The great news for those visiting is that it’s almost the same as normal at the resort (though less crowded).
The unit is great for us and our two girls under 6. Well stocked with beach stuff including boogie boards and beach toys and beach chairs. A bunch of games for the girls to play. Beds and even the pull out couch were comfy.
Honua Kai is the best and we go every year. This was our first time renting a ground floor unit and it was a fun change to be able to walk straight out to the lanai and the pool.
They have keypad entry which makes getting in super easy after a long flight. The bellman will hold your bags too while you enjoy the pool if you get there before checkin.
Only hiccup that I’m sure won’t happen again is that Dan sent us to the wrong unit (he owns two) and his on site manager Monty had given us a code that I guess works for both units. So after a long flight we spent an hour unloading everything and getting settled and just as we were ready to hit the pool, Monty let us know about the mixup. It took a while to get Dan involved but once he was he made everything right and even offered to have someone unload our whole fridge of food and move it over. He’s great and so even when there are hiccups, he made it right.
Would definitely stay there again.
