I had a lovely time at this apartment. Initially the door lock didn’t work but one simple call to the owner and Keith came over and fixed the lock. It seemed that the last guests had broken the lock handle. He got the door open and replaced the lock while I unpacked my car. He was fast and clean and I was shortly in a safe place. I recommend this place. Beautiful sunsets and ceiling fans that work great! No need for AC. Mahalo Keith!

Caught Keith, the owner the first night as he was stepping away to grab some dinner. Nice gentleman. The property on his estate was in a great location, away from the crowds in Kona. It could use an A/C, but cooled off a bit when the windows were opened and fans in use. I would stay again for my next visit to Kona.

Had a great time at our stay here. Very central location, good ocean view, and a very quiet area.
The unit is 1 of 4. Noise travels a lot in the units, but we didn’t mind we didn’t spend much time there as we came to explore the island not sit in the room. Comfortable bed, and couch. The unit has everything needed for making food, and cooking. A bbq outside and washer/dryer.
It was a good spot to wrap up our stay on Hawaii. Keith is very helpful and is eager to offer advice on locations and beaches to visit. 100% recommend this place.

We stayed here in January of 2023 and booked this spot through VRBO in September of 2022. When we arrived we were surprised that this was one unit of a four unit complex with shared walls and shared floors/ceilings. We normally vacation in stand alone units for privacy and quiet. This mistake may be on us as we have no way of going back and seeing how the unit was listed when we booked it.
The main issue with the unit is noise since there is a shared wall between the two upstairs units and there is literally an air gap at the top of the wall. The gap allows a direct path for sound to travel from one unit to the adjacent unit.
Our "neighbors" for the first few days of our stay were an elderly couple. They had the TV up past the published quiet time of 9:00pm. One of them had trouble sleeping apparently because the TV was on at times during the middle of the night as well. We could clearly hear their conversations and phone calls. We brought this concern up to Keith, the owner, within a few hours of being in the unit. This was his written response: "Yes the walls are thin, the building is built like a house not a hotel."
With him being unwilling to address the issue we knew we pretty much needed to make the best of it at the time because finding another place during January in Hawaii would have consumed our vacation. We introduced ourselves to our "neighbors" and let them know we could hear their conversations, phone calls, and TV but there was no change.
Bottom line, the owner is an Architect and a builder and the units should never have been built with a gap. Beyond that, it wouldn't be that hard to fix but he shows no inclination to do so. There were other issues with the unit as well but they pale in comparison to the noise and noise potential issue. If you book this unit and your "neighbors" have a screaming kid, or are loud drunks, or snore like a freight train you will be in for a very long and disappointing stay.

The place was solid for the 2 of us. We are easy to please and we’re just looking for a place to crash at night. If you’re looking for a spot to spend full days relaxing I would look elsewhere. The check in situation through evolve management was really frustrating as well. We had no response from them regarding check in and had to track down (via online search) and call the property management company for initial access to the place. The walls are pretty thin as well so if your neighbor is watching tv you definitely hear it. There are friendly animals around the property and Keith was a really nice host. The drive or Uber to downtown is really quick 5-10 min ~$15 one way Uber. All in all a solid place to end your nights and start your days in Kona.
