It’s your time to visit the magnificent Big Island of Hawaii with its ocean, mountains, waterfalls, beaches, and endless activities. The Umauma Experience Makani Ea Home is your own piece of paradise waiting for you and your family! It’s a cute 2 bedroom with an office to meet all your needs. This property provides plenty of space for peace & quiet in the outdoors.
As you enter the home & start your tour of The Makani Ea Home. You’re probably in the living room. Look up & see the high ceilings, but be careful! The large soft couch & loveseat are reaching out to you, ready to provide your comfort and the large flat screen television & cable television service are ready to connect you to the world. Try to resist, you’re far from the real world. Let the breeze carry you back to the dining area and breakfast nook and finally to the well-equipped kitchen.
So, maybe you’re beginning to get a little hungry or maybe a little thirsty - no problem. The kitchen is ready & waiting to get to work! It’s ready for your next culinary experience. Whether it’s fresh-caught fish, locally grown exotic fruits & vegetables, Big Island raised beef, local favorites like lau lau, loco moco, sushi, saimin, your own creation, or carry-out, it’s all here for you to enjoy. Time for coffee? If you discovered your favorite Hawaiian brew, or if a quick Keurig will do, check the large pantry for several tools & ingredients that will help you create! There’s a barbecue grill & patio set outside, too!
Later, when you get a chance, check out the shared backyard orchard. It may have some fresh tree-ripened avocados & mangoes! Watch your head! There may be coconuts ready, too! The home’s own private courtyard (between the home & the garage) may even have some ripe bananas!
Maybe you’ve had a long day traveling & it’s time for the necessities. Float back toward the living area. The middle door is the entry to the study. With a desk and couch, it’s a place to take a moment and get lost in your favorite book, or learn about ancient Hawaii, or to get out your travel guide and plan your adventures… like nearby beaches, waterfalls, mountains, local markets, and even zip lines. WIFI is ready and waiting when you need it.
Toward the front of the home, the next door off of the living area is the front bedroom. Toward the back of the home and on your left is your master bedroom and master bathroom. Both bedrooms have queen-sized beds, so the home sleeps four. If necessary, the office has a sofa bed provides the option for a fifth person. Closets and dressers allow for plenty of space to store your clothes. Finally, you’ll find the main bathroom. Toiletries, towels, shampoo, lotion, and soap are provided. It’s way too soon to think about it now, but outside, there’s a set of stairs that will take you down to the laundry room with a washer and dryer.
Take a moment to step out the front door to the front lanai (porch) for another boost of cool air. Look down & see the giant Hapu’u Ferns (or Hawaiian Tree Ferns). You wonder how they could be ferns, they’re so big! Look around & realize that you are in The Country, away from it all & in the middle of paradise. There’s easy access to Highway 19, which is also known as Hawaii Belt Road, or Mamalahoa Highway, when you’re ready to explore.
You have just begun your true Hawaiian Escape: an experience that you will share for generations. If the ...

Reviewer Comments:
Hi! The house was very charming, area was quiet & relaxing. Love it that there is a beach about a 30 minute walk away that you have to hike to, nice waves. There were some little things such as the coffee maker was filthy as the filter was not cleaned in a while and was moldy so there went morning coffee. The lint filter in the dry had not been cleaned out in a while so was triggering the lint filter warning, it took a while to work around that as the dry was not working. The house had plenty of salt & pepper and that was it, none of the little things like cooking oil & soy sauce was there so have to remember to pack the essentials before checking in.Another comment, the house is wayyyy overpriced but if they want to charge a high price then I would expect certain things like a clean house and the essentials...I thought the cabinet with one fancy drinking glass was an interesting feature, same thing for a house with an expensive price I would have expected more. All in all the house was charming and just to repeat myself was overpriced...As for the company taking care of the house, they were polite but did some silly things. They actually called me 15 minutes before check-in to say I could check in anytime, the house was wide open for weeks so they could have called in the morning. And then charged me an extra night stay and called it a late check out fee.The final review is going to be a tricky one as I would stay at the house again, just not with the price they are charging....
