Be prepared to relax, unwind and enjoy yourselves at this luxury estate!
Kailani Villa is a very spacious single-story 3-bedroom, 3-bath home designed with convenience and comfort in mind for up to six guests. The main living space is an open-design living room, kitchen and dining area, each boasting that breathtaking ocean view. The floors are beautiful, deep hardwoods and the ceilings are vaulted. The living room has abundant seating for your comfort, a smart TV, as well as a DVD player with a large library of movies for your entertainment.
The large, open kitchen boasts granite countertops with plenty of space and stainless steel appliances, including a gas range. Cook your meals and then choose your dining space: inside or out? The formal dining area comfortably seats six and hosts gorgeous views of the lanai and ocean beyond. Outside on the lanai is another dining table with six tropical grass-weave chairs to enjoy your morning coffee or meal. Rural Kailani Villa has a private water catchment system with a quality filter system, so it is safe to drink.
Back inside are three luxurious bedrooms, two with en-suite bathrooms. One bedroom has a quality King-size bed, the second bedroom has a Queen-size bed and the third has a full/double bed. There is plenty of closet space to store your sandals, shorts and t-shirts.
If you have to work, a spacious office area with not just one, but two desks overlooking the grounds is available with high-speed fiber internet. Telephone service is provided for making phone calls. A fully equipped laundry room with washer and dryer is available as well.
A spacious terra cotta tiled lanai runs the complete length of the house and offers plenty of lounge chairs to greet the morning sunrise, relax with a book, gaze out over the ocean in search of whales (during the winter months of November – March!), keep a watchful eye over your children as they enjoy the grounds or enjoy your morning coffee or evening glass of wine. And the rustic dining table is always there for meal time, snack time or a play a board game while you take a break from the sun.
The most unexpected feature at Kailani Villa is the resident sheep! They are quite playful – the older ones tend to keep to themselves and stay ...

The house is on several private acres of land overlooking the ocean and separated from the highway by abundant foliage. A large lanai runs along the ocean side of the house and was where we spent most of our time chatting and just watching the rainbows and ever-changing sky and ocean (we never turned the tv on).

The property makes you feel like you are in a more authentic Hawaii.. there is plenty of space around you (6.5 acres!) with a ocean front view from most rooms in the house.
It was great base to go down to Hilo to eat, explore the Hamakua area.. which is lush green and a very different scene than the east side.. we loved the tropical views, the infrequent rains and the ultra blue clear skies.
The house has everything you need to hang out and a very nice kitchen to cook and lanai to eat and enjoy the dramatic views.
Overall, highly recommended!
