This is Hawaii's most beautiful location right on a family friendly sandy beach. Protected by an outer reef, this beach is safe for young children and ideal for couples and families who like to swim and explore. Enjoy spectacular sunrises over the ocean, large sea turtles that regularly visit the beach.
The Space:
This is an oceanfront condo with spectacular beach, ocean and sunrise views! Large upper level unit accessible by two elevators. The condo has an in-unit washer/dryer for taking care of your family's needs during your stay. There is also a beachside gym, pool and bbq area.
Guests will have access to the entire condo, beach, and gym. There is reserved parking for 1 car and more parking along the road.
There should be plenty of dish soap, laundry soap, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, paper towels and toilet paper for your stay. We want you to have a premium and hassle-free family bonding experience at the condo, so if there is anything you need or any questions, please contact me.
IMPORTANT: There is some construction going on at the building (Pat's at Punalu'u). Please plan on some unsightly construction scaffolding and signs as well as possible loud construction noise Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM (No construction happens on the weekends).
Because we' re sensitive to these potential impacts on your experience, we have already discounted all listed nightly rates through 2025 by 20%. If you decide to cancel your stay because of the possible impact from construction, we will offer a full refund to you if you cancel within 24 hours of making your reservation.
The vast majority of our guests still have a truly amazing experience here regardless of the construction and we think you will too! We are happy to answer any questions you have.
The property is located at historic Pats at Punalu'u, 53-567 Kamehameha Highway, Hauula, HI 96717 which is a legal rental, exempt from Bill 89/Ordinance 19-18 (per Honolulu Department of Planning and Permitting).
Guest Access:
As my guests, you will have complete access to the entire condo, private lanai (balcony), beachside gym and pool, beachside picnic area and bbq, lawn chairs and the beach. Access to your condo is by two secured elevators. There is free parking for 1 car in a designated stall with additional parking available on the street.
The Neighborhood:
Ocean Front Right on the Beach! The Beach is protected by a reef a ways out so it's perfect for snorkeling without the bigger waves. Beaches with big waves are nearby! Shrimp Truck, Thai Food Truck, Burger Food Truck, Vietnamese Pho Food Truck, Hawaiian Ice stand and convenience store with local food counter half block away across the street! Less than 5 miles to the Polynesian Cultural Center, Hawaii’s #1 paid attraction, draws millions of visitors annually with their world-class entertainment, learning, shows, and luaus. There is a Longs drugstore and two grocery stores in the area. Five minutes away, Laie Beach Park has great year round larger waves for body surfing. Turtle Bay Resort Golf Courses/Restaurants and World Famous North Shore Surfing Beaches a short drive away.

We wanted to stay on the quiet side of the island and this was perfect! So close to Kualoa Ranch which has great activities for teens and the North Shore for surfingm eating and shopping. We loved walking on the quiet beach at the property. So lovely!

We loved this property! It’s in a quiet area out of the city. The turtles on the beach every night were very neat to see, and the sunrise view was stunning. This place is comfortable and had everything we needed. Highly recommend

Great place to stay right on the beach and fantastic snorkeling Right outside your door, property managers were very responsive to a shower drain being clogged, was fixed within the hour. Would recommend staying here!

Overall out experience was as good as we could have asked for. The host communicated every step of the way and the process was seamless. The apartment looks just like the pictures and was the perfect size for three of us. We had a large balcony overlooking the ocean which was amazing to wake up to everyday. There were even snorkel equipment included and we saw tutles multiple times. Very convenient to the north size attractions and beautiful beaches. If I had one critique it would be that the back bedroom can get a little warm but we turned all the fans on and it was fine. Great place that we would definitely stay again.

The condo was very nice and met our needs perfectly for a small family of (4). We were not in the condo very often and so location was important for us and we could not have asked for anything better. The grounds were very nice, check in was easy, and check out was too. As suggested in the property description, shown in photos and in reviews, the property is older and undergoing significant exterior structural renovations. If you arrive knowing that and aren't surprised, you will enjoy yourself.
The unit was in good shape, very clean, and well appointed with appliances, etc. We used the bed in the living room as there is noise from the road in the front room.
The biggest advantage of this property is the beachfront location. Beautiful views and an uncrowded very swimmable beach with decent snorkeling.

Overall everything was great, the beach front is right there and it’s a quiet community. There was some construction/renovations going on at the time we stayed there and the pool was closed due to that. Not a huge inconvenience and overall everything was good including the amenities inside of the unit

Our family really enjoyed our stay at this property. It was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Any issues or questions we had were addressed right away and the management company did an incredible job with their communication. Our only suggestion would be is to have an additional cooling unit for the front bedroom. It was a little warm in there, but the AC kept the rest of unit perfectly cooled. We didn't spend much time in the bedroom, so it didn't affect our stay too much, but if I were to point anything out this would be the only thing. The best part of our trip is we saw so many turtles on the beach. The kids loved it. We would definitely stay here again!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay. The unit was clean and updated. We stayed in the front room because of the road noise and AC was better there. The view and beach were wonderful, used the snorkel to see the turtles eating. Good location for the north shore beaches.

Our stay at this property was very nice. The condo was clean and well equipped with everything you need from the kitchen to the bathroom and even a separate laundry area. The bedroom is huge but it was too hot to sleep in with no ac but we were comfortable sleeping in the bed and sofa bed in the living room. The only downfall we had was the hose for the portable ac unit was broken and only patched together with tin foil. We ended up buying some gorilla tape and more foil to patch it. There is construction outside on the property which we were told ahead of time but it was not an issue-barely heard any noise. My kids loved it and the beach was just a few steps away. We had a great time!

This is our second time staying at Pats at punalu’u. We love the quiet more rural setting. The beach and ocean is perfect for swimming and snorkeling, even our 5 year old swam and snorkeled. The local grocery and food options are great. The building as a whole is undergoing much needed renovations. Unfortunately the pool was closed during our entire stay, which was a huge disappointment and we wished we knew a head of time. The unit was great for our families needs. Plenty of space for the 6 of us. The touch pad door lock was super easy and convenient. The Murphy bed was not very comfortable but it works. We appreciated the boogie boards and beach chairs that were provided. It could use more sand toys, beach towels and some more plates/bowls, but we made due. The main complaint is that the sliding door to the balcony is very hard to close and the lock doesn’t lock. But we will be back!

While there was upgrades being done to the complex, the unit was clean and recently upgraded. The view is fantastic and access to a quiet beach is just what we were looking for. The place delivered as advertised. Our family of 6 fit great in it.

We have stayed at Pat’s building multiple times including at the cottages and other condo units, this one is by far the best! Amazingly clean and furnished. Best location in the building! The view is to die for! There is absolutely nothing the owner could have done better! Thank you so very much! We will be back!!!!

Wake up to gorgeous beach views. Eat breakfast on the lanai and listen to the waves while watching the sunrise.
Our family of 6 loved this condo for our week long stay on Oahu. Beach access was what attracted us to this listing and it did not disappoint! While we visited other beaches on the island, this beach was our favorite for playing and snorkeling. A short walk down the beach were two beach swings…a favorite for early in the morning to catch the sunrise. The condo has a great selection of sand toys, beach chairs, towels, boogie boards and snokel gear for use.
The condo was well-stocked and we felt right at home. The kitchen had everything we needed for preparing meals. Lots of fans and AC to keep us cool. Beds were comfortable and we all slept great. Plus lots of usb charging outlets!
Will definitely recommend to family and friends!
