Located just up the road from the pristine beach of Anini Beach, you'll find you have everything you need in this perfect home. A short 5-minute drive will take you to the town of Kilauea for fun activities, shopping and dining. A little further north in about 10-minutes you'll reach the towns of Princeville and Hanalei with even more great dining, beaches, shopping and activities. As a great access point to all the fun activities on Kauai, Anini Mauka is the perfect place for friends and family to gather. Tucked in amongst a jungle of tropical landscaping, this home feels like a sanctuary.
Anini Mauka provides you great access to Anini and Kalihiwai beaches that are minutes away. Drive down the road and be at the back of Kalihiwai Bay, where you can play with your family and kids in the river, paddle board to the waterfall and surf all day long. You can also drive a couple of minutes to Anini beach, great for snorkeling, swimming and shell picking.
The home is a tropical paradise with modern island style furniture, open floor plan, and cool, soft breezes throughout thanks to the open windows and overhead ceiling fans. Beautiful, upgraded touches include hardwood floors, granite countertops, stone and tile bathrooms, and enough space for everyone. The main living room has large A/C unit that keeps the entire home nice and cool.
Enjoy lounging in the open living area watching a movie on the large flat screen TV, lay out a lawn chair in the lush backyard reading a book and soaking up some rays, or enjoy a nice morning coffee on the enclosed screened in lanai.
The master bedroom includes a King bed and attached full bath. The two guest rooms in the main area of the home boasts Queen beds. The first guest bedroom in the main area had its own magnificent bathroom with dual sinks, sweeping vanity area and an expansive shower with dual shower heads. The second guets bedroom, opens up to another living area with a small kitchen, full bathroom, extra washer and dryer, dining area and a living room.
Fully equipped, this rental has many amenities to offer, a stocked kitchen with all the cookware and gadgets needed for a Hawaiian Meal, Beach Gear, Beach Towels, Plush Bedding and linens, 2 outdoor living spaces, 2 living rooms and much more!

Perfect stay for a group of 6 adults. The screened in porch was our favorite place to enjoy our meals. Also loved the close access to Anini and Kalihiwai beach. Will be back !!!

We loved the house. Perfect spot on the north shore right between Kiluea and Princeville. Short drive to maybe the best kids beach on the island, close to dining and convenience stores etc. Was clean plenty of towels and bedding. Was very private. If you are more into hawaiian life than staying on a resort this place was amazing. They also had anything you'd need to go to the beach. The entire island lost power while we were there and they had pleny of candles and flashlights. Best spot in the house was the entirely covered lanai. We'd love to stay here again.

We stayed here for 9 nights, with our 2 adult daughters and their husbands. Each couple had their own bedroom and bathroom which was a plus. Plenty of room to gather. We enjoyed the screened patio each morning to plan our day over a cup of coffee. The beach is within walking distance. The area is lush and tropical. We would rent this location again!

Anini Mauka Kauai is the ideal home for our vacation style. We loved walking to Kalihiwai beach for the day, and enjoyed the well equipped kitchen for self catering our group of adults.

Our experience at Anini Mauka and with Makana Kauai Properties was wonderful. Everyone was fantastic to work with and most importantly they leave you alone to enjoy your vacation. This property and house is a lot nicer than the pictures might lead you to believe. It is very quiet, very clean and actually has somethings so you do not need to run to the store in the first few hours of your stay. The property is peaceful and the oranges are delicious. This is a great central spot to the north and south. Also it provides you great access to Anini and Kalihiwai beaches. It is wonderful to drive down the road and be at the back of Kalihiwai Bay, where we played with our kids in the river, paddle boarded to the waterfall and surfed all day long. It was magical and we will definitely be back. We have rented a lot of places around the world and we do so a few times a year, and we can happily say that is was a wonderful vacation retreat. The rental company is extremely considerate and nice. Thank you so much!

We were very happy with our stay and loved how the house could be divided into 2 sections. We have a small family of 4 and plus 2 other family members staying, so this worked out perfect if a little privacy was wanted. House was very clean and has everything you might need in the kitchen. The grounds are beautiful and give you the feel of not having near by neighbors. Beaches are just a short drive away, and management is friendly and quick to respond. We would definitely stay here again. Mahalo!

The home was clean and large. We had plenty of room to stretch out and not be on top of each other (3 couples). It was a pretty home with current decorations and appliances. The kitchen is well stocked and large. We had fun playing with the corn hole game and using the beach chairs and boogie boards in the garage. We used the bbq grill to cookout several times. The house did get hot at times without AC. Also, we had to wear bug spray while outside because we would get bit up quickly. The house was tucked away with foliage all around, so very private. It was close to Annini beach and easy to get to things in the north side of the island, but also not that far from the east and south side. We would definitely rent again if we ever returned.

The house was more than accommodating for 7 of us. The kitchen was equipped with EVERYTHING! the living room has a big enough sofa for everyone to sit comfortably, screened patio was an added extra, much needed, due to the mosquitos. The bathrooms were nice and clean. Everything needed for the beach was there. The only issues was the ceiling vent to draw hot air out wasn't working, but fans were provided. Hotter inside than outside some nights.
I would definitely recommend this place and look forward to staying again
