The Hokulei Cottage is a fully detached modern, single-level luxury home with an open living space and kitchen that is a perfect blend of luxury and comfort, making your stay in paradise a pleasurable one.
The chef’s kitchen allows you to feel right at home when cooking or dining at the cottage. Enjoy your morning coffee or tea on the lanai as the sun rises over the lava fields. The fully equipped kitchen and living spaces which include a Vitamix blender, a KitchenAid mixer, a rice cooker, a Weber grill, 4 smart TVs, and complimentary Netflix access, allow for full enjoyment while in paradise. The cottage offers a pack-and-play, highchair, bedrail, baby tub, step stool and sippy cups which is perfect for guests with small children.

The Neighborhood:
KaMilo is a walkable upscale community of larger units. The two-acre amenities center has a family pool, a lap pool, two hot tubs, gym - and on the other side of the neighborhood there is a putting green.
Stay in this luxury cottage includes a Club Card that gives access to the Mauna Lani Beach Club. The Beach Club beach bay is protected and has cabanas and recliners available on a first come basis. Napua, an upscale restaurant and bar located right by the sandy beach.
The beautiful beach at the Fairmont Orchid Hotel beach is less than a mile away. There is also a trail that leads over to Puako.
Getting Around:
The Big Island has much to see and do and it is highly advised that Guests rent a car to take advantage of the many things this island has to offer. Hawaii Island does not have abundant public transportation, so renting a car is best. However, if you do not drive you may consider hiring a charter tour, driver, or Uber.

My husband and I booked a 9-day stay at the Hokulei Cottage in KaMilo. Burt and Krish of Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Island Lifestyle were extremely efficient and very welcoming. This property is stunning with a private backyard we used for several dinners. The kitchen was beautifully equipped, and the home was very clean. We intend to book another stay in the future and we would highly recommend the property and the excellent management team.

This place was perfect!!! It was big and roomy and had everything we needed for a family of 4.
It was soooo clean and comfortable. My teen boys loved having their own bedrooms and bathrooms. In the evenings after long day at the beach or site seeing it was nice to come home.to an air conditioned house..It was like home away from home. Before we checked in we went to Costco by the airport and stocked up on snacks and food. The house had all the cooking items and seasoning we needed son it was nice to enjoy some home cooked food which cleaved us from having to eat out every meal. The grill outside was clutch. We did enjoy some meals out. Our favorite place was Umekes fish market which was by far the best place we ate all week. They had the best Tuna Sashimi we’ve ever had!!!!
The house had all the beach necessities that we needed. Chairs, ice chest, towels, paddle board. The beach is about an 8 minute drive away and was a small private beach. Perfect for families with young children. My teens enjoyed it but preferred the other beaches with waves. Which were all about 15-20 Minute drive. But was allll worth it. The beaches off site are gorgeous. We went to Kua Beach for a couple days and enjoyed the crystal blue waters.

A single word…perfect! Everything was amazing , house was very clean and it was very easy to contact the owner. The quality from the appliances to beds to bicycles , pots and pans etc is top notch. Location is very quiet, site was very clean and quiet, gym and swimming pools were just great. Very nice to have a pass to the “ private beach” witch is perfect for little kids and families with supplied cabanas and long chairs. 5 stars all the way!

The home was great! All amenities were there, wonderful welcome gift, great communication! The location is fantastic. Only area of feedback was on cleanliness. The house was cleaner than most homes we’ve stayed at in Hawaii, however it looked like they were battling an insect problem in the master bedroom. There were traps that were full of bugs and some on the surrounding carpets. Everything else was absolutely fantastic and I would 100% recommend it to anyone going to the area!

Stayed here with family & friends. Short walk to the nice large gated community pool. Enjoyed the space & very well equipped kitchen. Used the bikes and toys provided in the garage. Would definitely stay here again.

Hokulei Cottage is our home away from home. This is our favorite property in Hawaii! It is clean, spacious, and brings all of the Aloha vibes! I highly recommend this property and the property manager. 100/10 rating.

All the logistics were super easy. The kitchen was a dream come true and the backyard was heaven. Pools were really close and lots of beaches nearby. This property has everything we needed (except a full length mirror) and we really would stay here over and over! We couldn’t have asked for a better stay!

This was a comfortable, spacious house. Conveniently located near the pool area which had 2 pools, hot tub, and full gym. Michael was very helpful, promptly responding to our questions. We would gladly stay here again!

Excellent property with everything we needed for a great stay. The cottage is quiet, clean and comfortable. We loved having coffee with the sunrise in the private backyard. The pool complex is clean and so enjoyable. A perfect home away from home and we will be back.

My wife and I spent 7 weeks here. Despite being frequent travelers to the Mauna Lani area, it was the first time for Kamilo and our first time for this cottage. It was beautifully appointed with comfortable furniture and a great master bed. We loved having the space in the yard and the views of the sunrise and volcanoes. The Giant bikes in the garage were perfect for riding around the Mauna Lani area. For anything that we needed to call attention to during our stay, Michael the property manager was receptive, responsive and thorough, in addition to just being fun to work with. Burt, as "boots on the ground" was helpful when needed also. We would stay longer if we could and we will be back.
