Welcome to our home at Kauhale Makai 612. Our home was fully and immaculately remodeled in March of 2023. Our beautiful and pristine two-bedroom condo sits on the top (sixth floor) of the unit. The complex offers two elevators and laundry access on each floor. Our home is breathtakingly beautiful on the inside and the outside!
The inside of the 799 square foot condo boasts two custom bedrooms. The principal bedroom features a king bed, on-suite bathroom and breathtaking views of the ocean and the west Maui mountains. The second bedroom features a queen bed as well as an on-suite bathroom. Both full-size bathrooms offer custom vanities, full showers, and designer touches. Our home is equipped with central air for a comfortable stay.
The fully stocked kitchen features brand-new stainless-steel appliances, quartz countertops, a bar, and a table. Not a single detail has been overlooked. The living area includes a memory-foam, comfortable pull-out sofa facing our brand-new Smart TV.
The outside lanai is incredibly spacious and accessible from the living area or master bedroom. Enjoy morning coffee and evening dinner on the lanai as you bask in the views of the ocean and west Maui mountains. During whale season (Dec 15 - April 15) you can watch for whales by day and enjoy the sunset by night.
A short stroll away is Kalepolepo Beach Park, a small and stunningly beautiful Kihei beach. Because Kalepolepo was a historic fish pond it keeps big waves and crowds at bay. Enjoy watching turtles who love to bask on the beach’s rocks, stroll along the sandy shores, or grill up a delicious lunch.
We provide all the necessary linens for the bedrooms and bathrooms. We also provide beach chairs, umbrellas, and beach towels.

The location is good. Pretty central so you can get to most popular parts of the island within 25-40 minutes. It’s about a 5 minute drive to the section of Kihei that has all the restaurants and shops. You definitely need a car rental.
There is no designated parking for the unit, so you will have to struggle to get parking every time you return. All the conveniently located parking is for tenants are near the elevator needed to go up to this rental. The rest are on the far end of the parking lot and you have to get lucky to get one every time you come back. So you will have to haul all your beach gear across a long parking lot everyday.
The unit is probably only about 700 square feet. The living room is about 10 by 10 square feet, but looks much larger in photos. There is no dining table. The rooms are a comfortable size.
The master bedroom has a VERY FIRM foam mattress. So make sure you like a firm bed. Also there is NO lock on the master bedroom door.
The laundry it says it comes with is actually a shared coin operated laundry room down the hall with two very old washers and two dryers. You have to stay and wait until all your laundry is completed since it’s public. The building is from the 60’s I assume. It hasn’t been updated. So it was a surprise when we went in.
The view is gorgeous, the pool is very clean. But there’s no shady area or umbrella covered tables to sit at by the pool. These are important things to know. But overall it’s a nice rental.

We had an absolutely amazing time staying at the Condo! The owner was so quick to respond to any questions we had. The condo is in the perfect location to explore the island as well as a short walk to the beach. The condo itself was beach modern, clean, had everything we needed, and had spectacular views of the ocean. We will definitely be staying here again!

First off, Joe was absolutely wonderful and very responsive when I had a question. A short walk to the beach. Beautiful, quiet, penthouse property with amazing views. The beds were actually comfortable unlike so many other properties.
Incredibly well appointed. Lots of blankets, towels, beach gear, laundry supplies, first aid kit, etc. The property was very close to other beaches, tons of restaurants, stores, basically anything you could want.
My mom, brother, and myself all loved it here and are looking forward to staying again!

Joe's property is very clean and beautifully decorated. The layout of the bedrooms are very nice too. We love the view of the ocean from the balcony and the beach is about 1 min walk from the property. Everything you need is provided and we have borrowed the beach chairs and towels for our snorkel outing. We also liked the location of the property, it is centrally located and if you want to stay not far from the airport and want to visit the Haleakala N.P, Paia, Makawao and the Kaanapali and Wailea area, this is the place you want to stay. Highly recommend this place.

We had several family members staying in the area of Kihei for my nephew's wedding. As it turned out we were all within a minute or two of the others but everyone said our condo was the nicest one of all. It had everything we needed and everything was brand new and clean. The only thing I would add, is it would have been nice to have Kleenex tissues somewhere in the condo. Thank you for a great day
