I love Maui and the Wailea Ekahi Property and have stayed on the property probably 15 plus times. My problems were with the unit and management. The main issues was an uncomfortable worn mattress with a big dip in it. The management solution was to tell us all they could do was to provide a thick foamy mattress pad that didn’t really help. Now it is a mushy mattress with a big dip in it. Next I sat on the chaise lounge in the deck and the fabric shredded. It was taken away with no replacement. As we were dealing with management anyway I mentioned that I had to buy a kitchen knife as the ones they provided were dull as spoons. They sent a guy to sharpen the knives and asked what else they could do. I suggested ( half jokingly) that they could purchase the 15$ knife I bought so I could cut a tomato. They declined and suggested that I return it ( used ) to the store. The unit also has the world’s smallest dishwasher and a bunch of dysfunctional remotes for fans and tvs requiring you to take the one functional remote for each from room to room. This was also the first unit I have ever stayed in at the Ekahi that has no guest manual telling how things work and providing info on the area etc. Finally, even though the unit is empty for at least a few days after we leave, they want to charge almost a full days rent for an 8 hour late checkout. Given the bad mattress I would have thought they would have given us that one. The good-great location on site.
