The location is ideal. Close to everything. Host, Mark responded to all of my questions and was very helpful. Would highly recommend this property.
AC a bit loud but it helped to drown out the traffic noise as Wakikki is a city.

Upon arrival, everything was clean. As seen on previous reviews the bedroom is dark, only light is lamps on the nigh tables. Hard to see inside the closets. No light near or over dining table either. We had a few problems. The right sink in bathroom had a clog, Mark sent someone same day to fix. We were not able to connect to either tv. So they replaced with a new one in the bedroom. The tv in living room did not work our entire stay. We were told they would replace after we left. I let Mark know this was not right but no response. Table and a chair on balcony are in rough shape need to be replaced.
If tvs had worked I would have given this a higher rating. However, to get a response from Mark I had to contact VRBO before he would respond.
Lights under cabinet in kitchen do not work nor did the microwave surface light. Made it hard to see when cooking. The skillets did not heat correctly on the stove. Over 10 minutes to fry 2 eggs.
Finally, there is no welcome book with instructions on how certain things work in the unit. Or restaurants and stores close by. First VRBO I have not seen one in.

This was a good deal because of the included parking. Otherwise, it's a basic bare-bones place to rest at night while adventuring during the day.

My recent stay at a VRBO property in Honolulu, a 1-bedroom condo on the top floor of the Aqua Palms hotel, was a mixed experience. While the location and amenities offered convenience, there were notable drawbacks that affected the overall satisfaction.
The inclusion of reserved parking was a definite plus, especially in a bustling city like Honolulu. The kitchen, albeit small, was adequately stocked, making meal preparation convenient for guests. However, several issues detracted from the overall experience.
Firstly, upon entering the condo, a pervasive unpleasant odor was immediately noticeable. Fortunately, turning on the A/C helped mitigate the smell, but the underlying cause remained a concern. Addressing this issue is crucial for ensuring a comfortable stay for future guests.
The convertible sleeper sofa was another point of contention. The bed frame sagged in the middle, making it uncomfortable for sleeping. This is a fundamental aspect that needs immediate attention to enhance the quality of sleep for guests utilizing this space.
The condition of the bathroom left much to be desired. A cracked floor in the bathtub and a dirty shower curtain detracted from the overall cleanliness. These issues, especially for families with children, can significantly impact the overall comfort and satisfaction of the stay.
Inadequate lighting in one side of the bedroom made accessing closets a challenge. Improving the lighting situation would enhance the functionality of the space

The location was great, only a short walk to the beach. We enjoyed the views of the ocean and Diamond head. The kitchen was fairly well stocked and it was nice to be able to have some meals at the condo.
Mark was very quick to respond to any questions or minor issues that came up and was a lovely host.
There was a few bits of wear that could have been fixed up, but nothing significant enough that it would affect my rating or recommendation. The cleanliness was satisfactory, and I can be a bit picky about my standards for accomodations.
Overall, we had a fantastic stay in Honolulu and would definitely stay here again.
