Our unit is a privately owned hotel room located in the Outrigger Kauai Beach Resort and Spa. Beautiful second floor unit with King bed. Lovely resort with amazing pools! The view is of a beautiful serine green field and ocean beyond.
The Kauai Beach Resort and Spa is a beautiful Hawaiian plantation-style resort located on 25 acres of lush Garden Isle, centrally located between Kauai’s south and north shores, making it perfect for your island adventures. Only minutes from the airport, Costco, Walmart and Shopping. You will go thru a tree canopy lined drive that leads to the resort. Several acres of beach front property to enjoy and explore. On property there are four swimming pools, complete with water falls, a poolside cabana bar and grill, two Jacuzzis, fitness center and day spa. Paradise will be your back yard!
KAUAI RESORT AMENITIES
• 4 swimming pools, including 2 lagoon pools, 75-ft lava tube slide, & kid-friendly sand bottom pool.
• Two whirlpool spas, one amidst a stone grotto and surrounded by lush ferns and an exotic waterfall.

• Poolside Driftwood Bar and Grill
• Free Wi-Fi access in lobby, restaurants, and the pool areas.

• There is a coffee maker in the room. (please bring the coffee and supplies you will need for the length of your stay) We will provide a starter pack for you. There is also a Starbucks on site.
• 4 sets of bath and hand towels will be in the unit 4 Pool/Beach towels for use at the resort or for the beach. There is a $20.00 charge for each missing towel.
PARKING
• $35 / day parking fee paid directly to Kauai Beach Resort at check-in.
CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT POLICY
• Check-in time is 4:00 PM / Check-out time is 11:00 AM.
Check in procedure: Simply check in at the front desk with your name and booking info.
HOUSEKEEPING SERVICES
• Please note that daily maid service is not included when renting direct through VRBO. The cleaning fee included in your payment to VRBO covers cleaning/re-stocking the room after your stay.
If you would like a mid-stay cleaning (maid service) for your room it is $65 each cleaning. Towel exchange $25.
As Private Unit guest you have full access to the pools, whirlpool spas, the grounds, the beach, the business center, the restaurants, the lounge, the poolside bar, live music, the fitness room, coin laundry access and the Hawaiian Rainforest Spa.
By renting via VRBO you avoid paying the $25 per day resort fee charged by Kauai Beach Resort. However, the Hawaiian Cultural classes, which include classes like Hula and Lei Making are not included as part of your stay.

We had a great time at this resort, just keep in mind it is a 10-15 drive from the closest restaurant in any direction. They also charge 35 for parking a night so that adds a lot to the cost.

We had to wait 3 hours for our room because we couldn't check in until 4PM. Then front door wouldn't open as the lock malfunctioned. It took another hour before they were able to get the lock fixed to get in. Then the door wouldn't open fully. The floor had cheap vinyl planks that were warped, and the subfloor was not smooth and level making for difficult balance when walking toward the table/patio. The room appeared clean but the pillows and bed coverings smelled of mildew making sleeping uncomfortable. You can even see the mildew in the picture frame above the toilet.
The curtains have been removed from the 6' patio door and the sliding door in front do not prevent light from entering the room, so if you're light sensitive, sleep will not be good.
As we were loading our car to catch our flight, I fell down 6 stairs, landing on my head, causing a concussion and hitting my shoulder, elbow, knee, and twisting my ankle and had to go to the emergency room. The knot on the back of my head was the size of a fist. Due to my fall we missed our flight.
When we contacted the representative for Wayne Properties, we were told we could not stay over longer, until the next flight later the same day, because the room had already been cleaned. The resort had already told us they had no guests coming.
We would have been happy to pay for the room to be cleaned again but were not given that option.
We recommend Outrigger Resort only if you book direct, DO NOT USE WAYNE PROPERTIES

Enjoyed the property and private beach, pool and pool bar was very good. On site restaurant food was tasty, little expensive but not surprising at a resort. Had a couple things pop up that needed attention and property manager and resort was right on top of it.
I would for sure stay here again!

I was somewhat nervous about booking at Kauai Beach Resort because of all the recent negative reviews/change of ownership/construction, but I am SO GLAD I did! It was my husband and I’s first trip to Kauai and we will definitely be back with Wayne Properties!!
Room: I read many reviews stating the rooms at KBR were nasty, needed updating and had roaches, which freaked me out! However, this room was spotless, had no bugs and was generally comfortable to be in (it smelled wonderful too!). The photos of the room were also spot on. We didn’t spend much time in the room, but it was a relaxing place to return to after fun, activity filled days. I had a few questions about the room along the way, and Crystal was very attentive and responded to our inquiries immediately. We were so impressed and grateful!
The resort: The grounds of the resort are absolutely beautiful, as we enjoyed spending time at the many pools, the poolside bar and restaurants. Many reviewers complained about the prices and 18% gratuity added to each restaurant/bar purchase. Quite honestly, ALL of Kauai is expensive, so I don’t know what the big deal was. I actually liked not having to calculate tips and doing math when the check came lol. The staff was pleasant, most of the food offerings were good (Ube waffles were my fav!) and it was an overall a great experience. Thank you Wayne Properties and we will be back next year!!
