Being off the beach means that the Aqua Aloha Surf & Spa is one Waikiki hotel that doesn't offer ocean views. Instead it aims to create a vintage, edgy, art-deco surfer ambiance both in the lobby and its 202 guest rooms. Classic surf movies play on continuous rotation in the lobby, whilst the rooms feature ocean inspired décor. Along with the free, in-room high-speed Internet, local calls, local papers and air-conditioning, the Aqua Aloha Surf & Spa makes for a pleasant option amongst Waikiki's budget hotels. The resort includes a pool and sundeck. Though it isn't the largest of spaces, the ready-to-use BBQ grill and friendly staff help to make it a nice place to relax in the sunshine or in the early evening when the BBQ area is lit by tiki torches.

Each Tuesday there is a special manager's reception held at the hotel.
