Designed by acclaimed interior designer Somerled Designs, the Nakukui Home sits on a single level surrounded by lush tropical lawns in the exclusive Kahakai Heights community.
The resort-style backyard is the heart of the home — a waterfall cascades over black lava rock into a deep blue-tiled heated pool. Dine al fresco at the outdoor BBQ, lounge on the lanai, or simply let the sound of rustling palms and birdsong be your soundtrack.
Inside, the fully equipped chef's kitchen features premium All-Clad cookware, Keurig, Instant Pot, and a fresh bag of local Kona coffee waiting for you. The spacious living room centers around a 65" Samsung Smart TV with Netflix, and blazing 1 Gig fiber WiFi keeps everyone connected throughout. Central A/C keeps every room perfectly cool on warm Hawaiian nights.
Sleeping arrangements: King in the master suite with ocean view and walk-in closet, two Queens in the second bedroom, and a King in the third — all dressed in luxury linens.
Everything you need for the beach is already packed — chairs, umbrellas, snorkel gear in all sizes, sand toys, a cooler bag and a wagon to carry it all. Traveling with a baby? A crib, pack n' play, baby bathtub, night pads, and high chair are all on hand. Workout weights, yoga mats, and hairdryer round out the rest.
The community's private streets offer stunning Pacific Ocean views on every morning walk or evening stroll — and a beautiful 3-acre park is just steps away for a lazy afternoon game of frisbee.
This home warmly welcomes registered guests only (max 8). External visitors and events are not permitted per our hosting permit. Noise sensors and exterior cameras help us keep the community peaceful for everyone. Pool use is at your own risk — please supervise little ones at all times.

Very communicative host. Good house with everything you need for a family in a handy location for exploring the island.
Our stay here was amazing! The house is tucked away in a beautiful, quiet, gated neighborhood. We stayed as 2 families (4 adults, 4 kids) and there was plenty of room and things to do. The outside landscaping and pool were such a hit, especially with the kids. The property was extremely clean and well kept. The property owner had excellent communication and made sure that we had everything we needed both before and during our stay. Definitely a 5-star recommendation
We had an enjoyable family vacation.
What an incredible home with a gorgeous backyard and pool. Spacious and well-appointed with comfortable beds. Having AC and a heated pool were also great luxuries that we loved. An extra bonus was a tangerine tree on the hill just above the back yard that was producing ripe fruit during our stay. The property host was absolutely incredible with communication. They were on-top of all necessary communication and were informative and responsive to all inquiries.

The property is BEAUTIFUL,the pool is fabulous and the house is amazing. Our family came to Kona to celebrate Birthdays and could not have picked a better place. We loved our stay at this property for my parent’s 50th wedding anniversary (6 adults). The pool and yard is everything advertised and more - we didn’t want to leave! Located in a quiet, gated community, this home ticks off all the boxes. There is room to spread out with the primary bedroom separated by a lovely open living/kitchen area from the second and third bedrooms. New furnishings and appliances enhance and complement the existing high end finishes. This property feels miles away from anyone. As you step onto the covered lanai, tall privacy fences on either side fade behind lush landscaping, eyes drawing to the dramatic pool replete with waterfall which was a comfortable temperature. Beyond the lower, level yard, separated by a picket fence, lies your private botanical garden. The gentle curvature in the path, secrets you away through brightly flowered shrubs, palms, bamboo and banana trees to name a few. As the elevation eases you higher, the gazebo at the top comes into view. This is where the true magic begins. It is the treehouse you always wanted or perhaps the fairy castle of childhood dreams, offering a birds eye view of the garden below and an ocean beyond, brilliant blue and kissed by sunshine. Once at the top, the undeveloped property behind stretches the privacy even more. This is where we enjoyed morning coffee and evening wine, entranced by the view, delighting in the soft breeze and fresh island air. Whales provided the entertainment blowing, breaching and plashing. Look no further, this property will not disappoint. Sumit, the property owner, is easily reached, professional, thoughtful and accommodating.
This is an exceptional vacation home. Well appointed in every way. Swimming pool is warm and refreshing. Easy access to the north or south part of the Big Island. Shortcut trail out of the community allows for easy 30 minute walk to restaurants, shops, and beach along Ali'i Dr. Beautifully landscaped home in a very quiet community.
We loved our stay at Sumit’s property. The house was incredibly comfortable (with furnishings recently updated from the photos posted for a more modern and spa-like feel). We arrived at night and we never tired of a few things that revealed themselves the next morning: the lovely pool area, magical landscaped walk up to the gazebo, and view to the ocean every time we drove into the subdivision. We appreciated that the neighborhood was so quiet yet close to town. Highly recommend.
We absolutely loved this house. Everything was well maintained and very comfortable. The location on the island made it easy to get around. The owner was very responsive and the house had everything we needed. We would definitely stay there again and have already recommended this house to friends.
