Nēnē Cottage is a one bedroom one bathroom cottage with an inviting patio off the back. You can enjoy the sights of this small farm from the patio. Listen to 'io, Hawaiian hawks, as they soar overhead. This is very rare and amazing to see. We have wild pheasants, turkey and pigs that roam about. We also have sheep, chickens, a goat and a cow. You are welcome to collect eggs to cook and enjoy. There is also lemon trees and macadamia trees you can try.
Explore along our old Hawaiian walls and try to spot Jackson chameleons.
We are only 5 minutes to Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park. 35 minutes from Punalu’u beach (black sand) where sea turtles relax on the beach. 40 minutes to Hilo and its wonderful downtown shops and restaurants.
Volcano village has amazing restaurants and a small amount of shops.
Breakfast is simple and includes banana bread and bananas or other seasonal fruit to enjoy in your cottage.
