Molokai Scenic Drives
Kalae Highway (Route 470)
This is the road leading to the popular Kalaupapa Peninsula lookout and Pala'au State Park on Molokai's north shore. It's an uphill drive with great views of open grasslands and green mountains.
Kaluakoi Road
Kaluakoi Road is the main access road to Molokai's west shore. It leads from Maunaloa Highway (Hwy 460) to the Kepuhi Beach Resort, Ke Nani Kai Condos and other vacation rentals.
Kamehameha Highway (Mile 1-20)
Kamehameha Highway (Hwy 450) leads along Molokai's south shore, from Kaunakakai to its dead end at Halawa Valley. This scenic drive only describes the section of Kamehameha Highway from Kaunakakai to Murphy's Beach.
Kamehameha Highway (Mile 20-22)
Kamehameha Highway between Murphy's Beach and Sandy Beach is a narrow one-way road with many blind curves, but the views are well worth it. The road couldn't be any closer to the ocean either.
Maunaloa Highway (Route 460)
Maunaloa Highway (Hwy 460) leads from Kaunakakai to Maunaloa, a 16-mile (26 km) long scenic drive through the central part of the island, featuring views of the ocean, open grasslands and mountains.
Pohakuloa Road
Few people come all the way out here, so you will have the road almost to yourself. Pohakuloa Road offers an easy, relaxed drive with views of the ocean, kiawe forests and west Molokai's arid landscape.
