E KOMO MAI TO THE PALM VILLAS
This 2BR/2Bath ground-floor Palm Villas unit is private and secluded, surrounded by 6 acres of lush landscaping. As our guest you will have full access to the Auberge/Mauna Lani Fitness Center, located across the street. Play tennis and pickleball, work out, or swim in the 25M pool. You also have access to the private Beach Club and Napua restaurant. A nature trail and ancient fishponds are also steps away. Nearby Foodland Farms offers a gourmet selection of meat, fish, baked goods, liquor and wine.
OUR HOME
Primary Bedroom has a Cal. King bed with Tempur-Pedic mattress, and an "en suite" bathroom with tub and shower. Guest Bedroom has two XL Twin Beds with memory foam mattresses. Fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances, and the fridge has filtered water and makes plenty of ice. The Living Room has a comfortable sofa and armchair to relax and plan your Big Island adventures. Beautiful, lush gardens are off the front and back lanais. Fast WiFi and a 64” LG OLED TV with Netflix, HBO Max, Apple TV, Showtime, Hulu, and Amazon Prime and Spectrum Silver cable channels. Connect your iPhone or Android via Bluetooth to an Amazon Echo to stream your music, or use our free Apple Music account. 100% cotton sheets and towels. Beach chairs, Boogie boards, bamboo mats and snorkel gear available in the garage. There’s a great Delta Heat BBQ outside on our back lanai for grilling your Big Island beef or local fresh fish.
AUBERGE FITNESS CENTER & TENNIS COURTS
A unique privilege just for you. As our guest you will have full access to Auberge Hotel's Fitness Center and Tennis Courts, conveniently located directly across the street from the Palm Villas.
Play tennis and pickleball, swim laps in the beautiful 25 meter 3-lane pool, or work out in the fully equipped gym with machines and free weights. You can use the Club’s new top-of-the-line “Head” tennis rackets and “Selkirk” pickleball paddles.
Currently, we are the only rental condo at Palm Villas that is offering this privilege. Other units may advertise that you have "access" but you would have to pay $700/week for a family of 4. However, if you rent our condo, guest access is included for free. Private tennis lessons, clinics, round-robins, exercise classes and spa treatments are extra.
Please also note that his privilege is only for the renters of our unit and is non-transferable to others. Admission to the Fitness Center is for a maximum of 4 guests only.
MAUNA LANI RESIDENTS BEACH CLUB
Guests will also have a Beach Access Card which allows them to park one vehicle in the private lot at the Mauna Lani Residents Beach Club - making going to the beach most convenient. As our guest you are welcome to use the chaise lounges and cabanas on the beach, and to have lunch and dinner at Napua restaurant overlooking Maka`iwa Bay. (Reservations highly suggested for dinner.)
Maka`iwa beach has easy entry with great snorkeling. From our condo you can also walk to the Beach Club via a paved trail that goes through a nature preserve with lava tubes and petroglyphs, then meanders through shady, ancient fishponds until you end up at Maka`iwa Bay. It takes about 20 minutes and is a very easy hike - it is also a great for an early morning jog or a lovely sunset stroll.
THE SHOPS AT MAUNA LANI
Foodland Farms, Tommy Bahamas and other stores are also about a 20 minute walk up the hill to the Shops at Mauna Lani. Foodland Farms has an excellent wine and liquor selection, prosciutto di Parma and other delicacies, and imported cheeses and pates. They also also offer a good selection of prepared foods, sandwiches and sushi, and the fish and meat counter makes excellent fresh poke every day.
Snorkel Bob's is also a great place to rent snorkeling gear for your stay. We do have some snorkel gear in the garage -- but we strongly recommend that you let Snorkel Bob's properly fit your mask and fins. There is nothing worse than a leaky mask, and fins that are too tight or too loose. They will set you up with high quality gear that fits well so you have a great experience in the ocean.

Very clean. Supplies needed were all there. Instructions were clear on how to use all appliances, etc. The only suggestion I have is to leave on the outside light so that arriving at night we could see the lock and where it was.

Overall we had a wonderful time in this condo. The fitness center access was key, as was the beach club. The condo was stocked with everything we could need for our vacation and was very well maintained. We love staying on the property of the Mauna Lani with the fish ponds and walking paths, and the golf courses are great.
This was our 12th time renting a condo at Mauna Lani, and the personal attention of the owners of this unit set it apart from the rest. The condo itself is wonderfully comfortable - the beds, fully stocked kitchen with abundant dishes and flatware (some rentals have just 6 of each), crisp and soft sheets, a garage stocked with every item needed at the beach (we've stayed in some with just a single frayed beach chair and nothing else), an impressively large living room TV that was easy to use - plus TVs in both bedrooms, an Amazon Echo for music, an honor bar, every supply needed, and a tremendous library. Access to the Auberge fitness center is a big bonus that most rentals don't have. The condo was very clean. The owners' binder is the best of any rental we've stayed in, with photos and detailed descriptions about restaurants and things to do and see, in addition to clear instructions about all aspects of the condo. The owners clearly care about their rental, and it reflects in the guest experience. Thank you! We hope to return.
We really enoyed our stay! We used the beach club, fitness center, and various amenities throughout the home. The home was set up nicely and was very comfortable and well apportioned. We had a wonderful stay!

We cannot say enough good things about this property. It was above our expectations and everything was perfect. The place made us feel at home with all the comforts and then some. We felt special staying there, and felt lucky to be able call it home for a few days. Not only is the condo perfect, the grounds and the common areas are just as nice. The pool area was amazing, with the rocks and water falls. Also having access to the fitness centre was an unexpected perk. We had access to the Pickle Ball and tennis courts and made the most of it one evening. The exclusive beach club was also unexpected. A beautiful beach on a calm bay with snorkeling and swimming in the warm water. The restaurant there was delicious and the drinks were incredible (get the Pina Colada with the dark rum pour over! But you may not be able to get out of your beach chair after!!) If you are thinking about renting this place, do not hesitate, it made for a truly spectacular vacation to the Big Island and we hope to be back again one day!
What a joy it was to return to Hale Malino this year. Honestly, I don’t know how it could be better than my first experience, but the hosts have been busy adding more and more thoughtful touches and upgrades. The tv is even bigger, and the fitness center membership was really easy to use and fun. Everything was spotless, well-organized, and we lacked for nothing. The kitchen is so well stocked, and I appreciated the spices and fresh, well curated condiments. It saved money, made it fun to cook, and reduced food waste. The hosts are welcoming, kind, and very responsive, and their communication is top notch. Mahalo!
