Beachfront Villa and Guesthouse

We enjoyed the house and the area! There were 7 of us and plenty of room - the house is beautiful - we had a chef come in one night and prepare a wonderful dinner. We love it here!

Our family and friends had a magical stay at Hale Ama for a big 50th celebration. Holly the manager and Joe the owner were so kind and attentive to our needs. The little details matter and this house has it all. The neighborhood and Oceanside location made it truly special. We loved it!!! so

The house is amazing. plenty of space, beds are very comfortable, the kitchen is fully equipped and the lanai is perfect. The property manager was attentive and responded quickly to one minor hiccup during our stay. My friends and family had an amazing time and we look forward to visiting again soon.

We really really enjoyed our stay at the Hale Ama. It was a special treat to celebrate my wife's 50th. The views and sunsets are spectacular. The home was lovely, with beautiful furniture, plenty of amenities, and a great size for my family and in-laws. The large deck was a favorite spot perfect for morning coffee and fresh malasadas from up the road. It also was pretty great for afternoon naps after the days adventure. And my girls loved exploring the tide pools discovering all kinds of fish, turtles, eels, and large undamaged seashells. Joe was easy to work with and the local manager Holly took good care of us. Only downside was that we had to leave. Can't wait to return!

We were here for a destination wedding and took our 20 something adult children along with a girlfriend and friend. The house was fabulous. Great location and Holly, the contact, was available 24/7 with quick communication and sincerity. Would definitely rent this home again!

To give our visit 20 out of 10 stars would be an understatement. Our rave review is that big and truly sincere. The house is beautiful. She took our breath away from the moment we met the buddha in the driveway. Entering the front door we gasped - view, warm wood and colors, inviting chairs, wonderfully stocked kitchen. The pictures do not do the experience justice! What really touched us though - and each of the 5 of us felt it - was the way that this house feels loved. It feels a house designed for humans to be happy in, to be well held in, to find nooks to read in, areas in which to connect. . . It also is a HOME that holds you well when your world falls apart. Two unimaginable griefs visited our group while we were there. We had noticed the love and care in this house, the attention to detail, but it wasn't 'til the unimaginable visited that we truly felt how well she held us. This is no property fixed up for rental. There is a soul that lives in her and we are deeply grateful to her and those who care for her so well. Thank you, thank you. . .

There were 6 of us and we really enjoyed our stay. The house is beautiful and we all had plenty of room. The kitchen is perfect for cooking a meal, which we did many times, and the dining area is roomy too. The sunsets in Puako are incredible - the colors and the contrast. There were sea turtle in back of the house and the water was warm too! It was a perfect break! We will be back!

Just as pictured! Well stocked and equipped. Had a couple issues that were taken care of. Great host! ONLY complaint…why such a difficult stove top 😂. Only a couple people in the group of 8 could properly work it!

If you're looking for a perfect place to relax, unwind, and enjoy the spirit of the islands, Hale Ama will meet your needs perfectly. Warm breezes, gentle surf, turtles, whales, and dolphins passing the lanai, while world class snorkeling awaits you just beyond your backyard. Each night we enjoyed our evening meal oceanside just before catching another Hawaiian sunset and then retiring for another comfortable, quiet night's sleep. Kayaking is available, along with shoreline hikes, easy access to beautiful beaches, scuba diving, etc. We've vacationed on Oahu, Maui, Kauai, and the big island, and Hale Ama at Puako is our favorite destination. Highly recommend.

Hale Ama is a beautiful home on the coast - lots of interesting tide pools to explore - snorkeling right outside the door. Lovely beaches close by. A great set up for a larger family with en suite bathrooms. Good working kitchen - great lanai with lots of space. Whales! Rainbows!
